They do seem to think both goals came against the run of play, which I don't agree with. However, they are somewhat complimentary of the city, the supporters and the team. The video included, the spanish commentators make particular mention of Conway's performance.

The 2nd goal was one of the better goals TFC has scored.

My boy from Valencia! If he can get this kind of scoring and chance creating a regular, consistent thing, we have a winner on our team :D

I'm using LiveSearch Translate here. The jaguar is saying "You don't eat jaguar truth?", and the rabbit responds "Because I travel much... I like to try everything."

After last night, that rabbit's got crow stuck in its craw. :D

I think the ref was not that bad....except for all the calls that went against us, and not being fair in some plays.....

I take it back...he sucked, you figured that OB White could have spoken to him in his native Jamican and cut us some slack...believe it or not down south players do that alot to the refs...I remmeber one time el Loco Abreu was showing his Uruguay jersey (which he always wears under his team's jersey when he plays) to the ref and telling him that I am Uruguyan as well....so is not unheard of!!!

Let's avoid comments like that in the future, m'kay?

A little off topic and not worthy of a separate thread but here's a little news about our former boss.

Plymouth Argyle's John Carver in Sheffield United link

Plymouth Argyle assistant coach John Carver is on the brink of joining new Sheffield United manager Gary Speed at Bramall Lane, BBC Devon understands.

The duo have previously worked together at Newcastle United, where Carver was assistant to the late Sir Bobby Robson.

Carver is effectively the number three coach at Plymouth, under manager Peter Reid and head coach Paul Mariner.

In January, the 45-year-old turned down the opportunity of working with Burnley boss Brian Laws at Turf Moor.

Carver has been at Home Park since December 2009, when he was appointed as assistant coach to Paul Mariner.

thanks for the translation. That's funny that they think both goals came against the run of play, since the first goal came basically after kickoff. Not sure how one could determine "run of play" in 2 minutes.

From being there, I actually felt like TFC dominated the first 30 minutes and could have been up by more. Cruz Azul were really sloppy early on and I was shocked at this. They definitely picked up as the game went on.

Plenty of tickets available...

Log on to the ticketripoffhugecharges.ca, oh sorry I mean ticketmaster.ca and you can buy them. Pre-sale is Friday, public sale Monday...

Or call the club, I'm sure they'd sell you the remaining 2-games - same seats for both, and maybe that'll give you preference if we advance...

Plus, since you're looking for a single season ticket, you'll begin a relationship with a ticket rep - can't hurt...

Carts...

It's great to see TFC on the front page of the Toronto Star sports section for a change. The boys earned some serious recognition last night and they are deserving of finally getting a share of the local media spotlight...

Summary of MoJo's comments in the Fan590 interview:

- Last night's first half was the greatest display of football in franchise history

- The supporters are the driving force behind TFC's success on home soil

- DeRo has elevated his game to another level as captain this season

- Mista will develop into a premier striker in MLS as he regains match fitness

- The current support of the club has exceeded all expectations of the front office back in 2006

That is all. No questions regarding potential signings...

Heard the 10-15 minutes Mo was on. Praised the guys for last night, praised Preki for doing a wonderful job. Praised DeRo for being a wonderful captain. Praised Mista for his wonderful left foot (also mentioned that Mista has played some good passes and through balls but they were misplayed by some of the other players...). Praised Jimmy B for doing a wonderful job (mentioned JB is doing scouting, camps, etc.).

Fielded some softball questions about the World Cup break (supported it) about MLS doing business (supported it) about Henry to the Red Bulls (supported it, thought it would be great to get the fans out). He avoided the question on the Henry experiment being similar to the Beckham experiment.

He mentioned that looking back on the past 5 years of TFC, from planning to implementation to now, the point when they installed grass was the point when it became "real", I'd hate to incorrectly paraphrase what he said, but the way he described it I agreed with him.

Also thanked the fans for coming out to support the team through the ups and downs.

I'm sure there was more that I missed, but that was pretty much the jist of it.

i am surprised no one mentioned it but....

if you read the toronto star, it mentioned how Cruz Azul thought BMO Field still on artificial turf and they were worried about there stars getting injured playing on it...for a club that should be considered one of the best in north america, i have to say that if that was what there "preparation" is like, that they did a poor, pathetic job in preparing for TFC and probably thought they'd win if they played their acadamy.

They probably looked at last year's 5-0 & 2-0 thrashing of Columbus and figured well TFC have never beaten Columbus before, so they can't be that good.

It will be interesting to see what type of wake up call this gives Cruz Azul...I would be very worried about the returning match in September
