This is just kind of throwing something out there. I am pretty sure no player would ever do this, but I am just wondering if it is possible.

I was reading this article (http://www.torontosun.com/sports/soccer/2010/08/16/15045276.html)and it got me thinking.

Is it possible to sign a player, to only play in CCL games? their is no salary cap in the CCL, so even if we signed a player at 1 million $, would they be able to just play in CCL games, and then not be placed under the salary cap?

I am sure it would be possible, but why would we sign someone, for so much money, to only play in one tourny? It just doesnt make sence.

Getting someone on loan? Maybe. But no way would we buy someone for it.

1) Who would sign (who would be worth signing) for 6 games?
2) I'm sure there are CCL roster restrictions, just not sure what they are

Edit:

Players must be under contract to the Team in question, properly registered with the appropriate National Association and eligible to play in any league game for the current playing season per the FIFA transfer deadlines in each country.

By no means did I actually suggest this, I was just wondering if it was possible.

No player would ever sign for it.
