Maybe Henry will miss NYRB vs TFC @ BMO field????

New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry could be set to miss clash with Toronto FC.

The Former Arsenal and Barcelona striker limped off the field during New York's 0-0 draw with the Chicago Fire with a groin strain.

Red Bull's boss Hans Backe is unsure whether to rest his star striker or allow Juan Pablo Angel to play up front alone.

Angel has scored 6 goals against Toronto over the past 4 seasons.

Toronto are due to travel to the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday to take on former Notts County boss Hans Backe's New York Red Bulls in regular season play.

Considering our road record, I wouldn't be surprised if they sat him down for the match.

I read a quote somewhere where Henry said he doesn't expect to miss the match. However, ultimately it's the coach's decision I guess.

I hope Robinson plays too. That bodes well for us to score a few in the final minutes of the game

Would be nice to see Carl. I prefer to watch Henry play against teams other than TFC. :D

Henry: Substitution just a precaution

He seems optimistic about being fine.

I wouldn't be surprised if they start without him and see how it goes. If it's still 0-0 by the start of the second half I imagine you'll see him.

^ NY have too many men on the pitch (and another one flying over it).

I think we should be more concerned about Marquez AND Angel . Angel always does a number on us.
If Angel gets good passes and scores again i will start throwing bags of piss myself ..
If Henry scores on us then were the first club to hand him a goal and thats an international eye sore.
I still have bad taste in my mouth from last years season ending game. I don't want a repeat thats all im saying.. TFC:drum::drum:TFC

No wonder he strained his groin.

You know, I actually feel sorry for the NY fans . . . this is all they have for a club -- base commercialism (though you could argue that in NY, that's par for the course . . .)

Note to NYRB: don't hire an Irish graphic artist to make your Henry pormos.

I'm sure the metallic angry cows must violate at least a few rules as well. For one, they aren't wearing uniforms.

Henry hands himself enough goals, he does not need our help.

I'm personally more worried about Angel, and I'd love it if we didn't have to deal with Henry as well. It would be fun to see him play live at BMO, sure, but not at the cost of 3 points. We're in the home stretch here, and we should consider ourselves very lucky if Henry is out for the two games against us.

AWOL vs TO? Big Game Bottler was his nickname in England.

let me get this straight.

They have Henry, Marquez, JPA and a ridic new arena + owners who are willing to splash the cash but you feel sorry for them because of how commercialized they are?

I don't think they need any sympathy. They won the football ownership lottery.
