Why did they choose the coldest city to be the one with the latest home games?

YAY! The day I'm off from work recoving from my trip to Vegas, we play against Real. Don't have to waste extra time off from work. Awesome. To bad I'm missing that previous Saturday's game, which will officialy break my perfect season of attendance.

Hmmm, I'm thinking an all inclusive vacation nearby Mexico City the week of September 21st is looking really good right now. I hope TFC is in good shape in Group A going into that match...

The Sept 15-21 stretch is going to be brutal. But at least those cities are all about 2 hours from each other. I'm assuming the team stays on the road for these games.

Our last 2 home games will either feature the first team (if we've done well), or the Academy kids (if its hopeless to advance).

As a guy who hasn`t missed a game yet, this schedule is starting to seem daunting, particularly having to get up at 4am daily. I`m hoping the continental night-game aura doesn`t wear off and we can get points here and in the league!!

Home field advantage.
That's what I'm saying, doesn't that become a bit like the home-field advantage some teams get from playing at altitude.

yeah, i have a bit of a sinking feeling. our 4 toughest games are the first 4, we could well be out of contention by the time those 2 home games come around. hopefully not.

I don't like that cruz azul and rsl get to play their last game after we've already finshed. I know time zones make things awkward, but still, you'd think they'd make sure that sort of thing doesn't happen.

To avoid it, you could have RSL @ Cruz, and TFC @ Arabe... same time zone. Otherwise, if you want TFC to have the last game at home, they'd neet to start later, and 8:00 is pushing it as is.

I'm nervous about Games 2-3-4 all being on the road. TFC has to pick up road points quickly, or Preki will have to make a decision on what competition gets priority

Good find.

Note that it properly shows "Toronto" as the club name (football club being assumed).

I dunno... I think you just take the games as they come.

It's probably inevitable that by game 4 we'll be below one or two teams in the group, since some will have played more home games than us by then. But then they too have to go on the road to see us.

For example, if we only have 3 points by the end of game 4, we're not out of it if we win the final two games at home. 9 points could be enough to go through.

Why did they choose the coldest city to be the one with the latest home games?

So we can all laugh at the Panamanian team freezing their nuts off experiencing temperatures below 25 celcius for the first time in their lives :D. But seriously, that'll be a huge advantage.
