I was looking at the RBA website and started asking myself, Why can't we have something this good? I actually called up TFC's Goal line and asked them. The person I spoke to told me it was due to the Ticketmaster contract that was in place.

I really liked the option of being able to pick what section I wanted to by tickets in. I mean, say you want to take someone new to a game but know they wouldn't chant the full 90 but they still would stand for the full 90, wouldn't you want to bring them to say a 111 or 117 (no disrespect to any who are in these sections)?

Ticketmaster has new technology for some venues that allow you to pick your exact seat from a seating map. Here's an example:

They actually had this up for some Raptor games last year. But for the Leafs and TFC, the system seems designed to frustrate (and gouge). You can only pick price points, not even general seat location anymore, which is ridiculous. I'd be surprised if they didn't have the new system in place for next season.

I find it easier just to call TFC for for tickets. That way you get what you want and don;t have to pay a fee.

Yeah, when I went to buy tickets for City last year I got the map with the individual seats. It was an incredible user experience.

If only they had shown on the map where that asshole from Pompey with the trumpet would be sitting!

I am definitely going to start doing this when I want tickets. I didn't even realize that the Ticketmaster Fee could be waived.
