We didn't do too badly to tie LA:

CARSON, Calif. -- It was America’s birthday Sunday night and the Los Angeles Galaxy celebrated with fireworks and a victory over the Seattle Sounders, thrashing them 3-1 in front of a sold-out crowd. The goals came from Edson Buddle and Juninho.http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1110/major-league-soccer/2010/07/05/2010133/landon-donovan-edson-buddle-set-off-firework-

LA just sliced through Seattle's defense and made it look easy.

Nice goal fron Juninho there in the highlight package. Between him and Stephens LA got pretty lucky with their offseason signings ... like they needed it.

BlogTO interview with DeRo.

* just read the interview - clearly it's not what you would call 'hard hitting journalism'.

Glad we caught them after the WC break. Wish we could have taken more advantage of the situation, but a point is a point.

Lies, she looks like that trashy broad Kate Gosselin (sp?)

Remember when the pre-requisites for any Sunshine Girl involved massive tits, no pudge, and a solid face?

How have our expectations dropped so much...

I had a comment removed from the DeRo interview. Said something about it being a very fluff interview.

He's been playing on loan in League 2. Hardly impressive, as a reference point, Andy Welsh plays in League 1.

A whole bunch of people with inside sources confirmed that he would be officially signed as of July 1st.:D

Two tidbits for you.

1- Have it on good authority that Mista was sighted in section 125 during the last game against Houston.

2 - The flags above the south end of the stadium representating TFC players now have a Spanish flag flying amongst them. There are no Spanish citizens currently under contract with Toronto FC.

Jersey deal a measure of success for Canadian soccer

We could see the value of the jersey, and how the spectators value the jersey,” said Sandy Bourne, vice-president of advertising and sponsorship for BMO, which also has its name on the stadium where the team plays.

We've also seen dickov, huckerby, kiki and many more that were all but signed sealed delivered in the stands. Really, That doesn't hold much weight with me anymore.

More money for jersey sponsorships = more money for DPs.
Now if only MLSE could use this $$$ wisely. Unfortunately, we have Mo as a GM. Maybe Preki has some good ideas, though.

It is a real sign of hope, though. If we see more and more of this sort of thing throughout the league, the cap could be raised significantly, and MLS could become more of the league we all want it to become.

How come BMO/TFC not letting public know how much it cost for this deal?

It's league policy not to disclose most financial matters.

Unlike other team sports where ads on uniforms are considered sacrilege, jersey sponsorships in soccer are seen as an indicator of a team’s status.
