Spoke with Jacob Peterson over the weekend/after the game with regards to his fitness and form, coming back from his injury. Sounds like he's still not there so that's good news that there hopefully is still more to come:

The Bank of Montreal has signed a multiyear renewal of its jersey partnership with Toronto FC, ensuring the bank’s logo will remain on the jersey of one of MLS’s most successful clubs.

I clicked on the 2nd link posted and I read the headline of the page without being loaded, "Johnston: Canadians Take Positives From U.S.", I nearly gagged:(

....And then I saw who the author really was and I skimmed through the "good parts".:deadhorse:

SSG: Is always looking good, I wonder if I like her with or without the fake boobies.

QUICK VOTE: Do you like her with fake or real boobs?
For Yes Type: B:):)bies
For NO Type: :picard:

Don't MLSE own their own bank they can put on it? That would be the BESTEST.

5 year extension estimated at just over $4 mil a year. Original deal was 3 yrs at $1.0 or $1.5 mil. Probably second sweetest deal in the league, after LAG and Herbalife (RB is a special case because they own the team), more than Microsoft and Sounders. So, we can conclude that they were happy with the return they got in terms of marketing.

good for the busines side of things i suppose getting such a big increase, and if we have to have a sponsor, it could certainly be worse, but is that $4m going to in any way go towards helping the team? or lower ticket prices or anything other than the bottom line?

If so, then fair enough, I'll grudgingly accept the need for turning our jerseys into billboards.

If not, then I stand by my intitial boooooooo! I'd love a rapids style no sponsor jersey.

MLS never banned beer, only "hard liquor."

Wow.

When you compare that to what the salary cap is, that is a lot of money.

"Against the Galaxy I thought we got caught offside too many times and when you do that you are not going to have a lot of success. We are going to have to talk about that in the next couple of days to make sure that we don’t keep doing that because it breaks our attack. I would like to see us being a bit more fluid in the final third of the pitch.”

Whether that additional attacking push comes in the form of new signings remains to be seen, but Preki confirmed that he expects new signings to be made in the coming weeks. “We are always looking and entertaining ideas,” he said. “We still have a couple of spots open on our roster and I am sure we will be adding quality to our squad.”

BMO is the sponsor bank of MLSE teams. It used to be TD. It changed about 2 years ago.
