GO has suspended all trains into Union station. Trains are stopping at Mimico and Danforth.

I didn't think for a minute that they would actually run through Union when the leaders arrived ... I don't know why they just weren't up front about it.

MLSE are complete retards. I remember reading a post from mlsintoronto saying that this would be like a normal game with "events" going on around the city...that would cause the usual "inconveniences".

They just don't get it. The MLSE arrogance just continues to grow. Apparently, the burning of police cars is a usual inconvenience.

TFC apparently is giving people who couldn't make it a free ticket...i think they realized they made a boo-boo (heard this second hand from my dad)

The game was fine ... most people made it. Those who drove said the driving was much better than normal. The parking lots north of the tracks were half-empty. The Bloor-Danforth subway was running very smoothly, emptier than usual. The Ossington bus was quick and hassle-free ... and not even full (well, the one I was on got full somewhere north of the other train tracks ... but it was half-empty leaving the stadium.

It was certainly easy to get to the game from the East. And from what I hear, not bad from the west either.

Obviously a few people who are from out of town, and are totally dependent on GO were screwed. But everyone else ... we all knew that it might come down to nothing but the BD subway and the buses. There certainly weren't driving issues ... much better than normal.

I don't know what all the whining is about ... it was nice to get out and do something, with the rest of the city in lockdown ...

Though I hear the ROM is open ... perhaps tomorrow would be a good day to check out the Terracotta Warriors. Probably less crowds than usual.

these two locations and Scarborough Town Centre by presenting their
GO Transit tickets.

To help our Lakeshore West and East passengers to get home
tonight, a shuttle bus will depart Mimico Station in the west and
Danforth Station in the east at 23:00 and will make stops at all
Lakeshore West and East GO Train stations, terminating at Hamilton
and Oshawa GO Stations respectively.
