"(Toronto) could have traded me for a bag of soccer balls, and I wouldn't have cared," Cronin said. "I can't wait to get games under my belt."

Summer has not been kind to Toronto FC.

In each of the first three years in Major League Soccer, the Reds got off to a relatively good start, staying in the hunt for the playoffs as the days got longer.

But each time, the club has wilted in the heat of summer. Over three seasons, TFC is a combined 6-20-11 in the summer months. Whether coincidence, a quirk of scheduling that’s seen them play more games on the road, or an inability to withstand the warmer weather and increasing intensity of later-season games, poor results over those 13 weeks have been a big part of the reason the Reds have yet to qualify for the post-season.

It's time to change this disturbing trend, starting tonight! :scarf:

I admire cronin for that. He truely speaks his mind. Most players would just thank the club and fans, and all that shit that is said every single trade. Cronin is probally the most real player we have ever had. I wish him all the best

Midfielder Julian de Guzman, who has been struggling with a hamstring problem, is a likely start, but defender Nick Garcia is suspended for a game and Emmanuel Gomez is out with knee troubles.
