Who's your most loved TFC guy (and why)?
Would be interesting to see this after 9 MLS games into the season and 3 Nutrilite Cup games.
Gotta be DeRo.
Fire, passion, goals and much improved leadership.
He has really been doing it all.

I picked Frei too. He along with DeRo are the most talented on the team in my mind. Frei works his ass off and it honestly scares me to think where we would have been last year and earlier on this year without him. Frei FTW!

De Ro definitely, but I voted for Preki in the poll because I'm feeling a huge, positive Preki vibe right now. Without Preki, De Ro would just be a guy scoring without a team around him. Preki has done amazing things with this group -- gotten to play as a team, not worrying about the individual stats of each player, or who's running more than whom, according to ProZone (thanks for that, Carver).
So Preki gets my shout-out today.

I think an interesting poll would be "who's TFC's unsung hero" etc...
Take away DeRo, Frei, and JDG and see who people vote for...
Attakora will get alot of votes for his excellent play - and the fact this is just the begining of what should be a solid career...
Barrett for his tireless work eithic and passion on the pitch...
Preki for having us play such organzied play - which is something we're not used to and are starting to see success with it...
Take away the big-3, and I think the poll will be wide open...

Cann. He's not our best player, and the one who's had the biggest impact out of the options is Preki, but I really like Cann, he's been really solid at the back, much better than I expected, and he seems to genuinely enjoy being able to play in toronto.

Chad Barrett. I really respect the guy for playing through the hate and criticism he's gotten from his own fans. Seriously, Barrett has been shit on WAYYYY more than he has deserved and he still gets it to this day. Kudos to him for coming back better than ever and getting some results. He's been a major reason behind our team's turnaround. Plus he plays all out every game. Hard not to get behind a guy like that.

For me its Adrian Cann. He's a 29 year old grown man giggling on TFCTV like a schoolgirl when he got signed. He loves the city, loves the team. I know Preki and Nana have a lot to do with shoring up the team's defence but I give most credit to Cann. Watch him during the game, he's yelling instructions to his teammates, gets positioning organized and I dont think he's missed one header all season.
With respect to Frei and Nana, Cann is my defensive player of the year.

I like what I have seen in Cann. It isn't pretty. It isn't technical. He's just a big boy that you can't push around in the box. Exactly what we have needed for oh so long.
DeRo is still my fave. But I made it a point to get a chance to speak with Adrian and express my genuine appreciation for what he does back there. That, and to tell him the interviews he has given really speak to me.
I'm going to refrain from mentioning Barrett/DeRo/JDG/Frei, because it's a given that I love them all to death.
After a long chat with LaBrocca at the inauguration dinner, he's become somewhat of my cult hero at the club. It also helps that he busts his ass every game and, when needed, can be everywhere on the pitch at once. We need that sort of work ethic going forward. Oh, and he's of Italian origin!
I can't forget Cann either. Swell guy, rock-solid defender, and he's my mate's former teammate. He really hasn't put a foot wrong all season.

Dero, he has done more than any TFC players has for TFC up to this date.... i also loved dichio, guevara, brennan, serioux, robinson, and edu. i also currently really like JDG, Nana and Cann......

Right now it's a toss up between DeRo and Barrett - both leave it all on the pitch every game, and both have been playing out of their minds this season.
All of the other names on that list deserve praise too.

Man... Looking at the list, I realized we actually do have a pretty good Squad.
Frei is just a god. He stops basically any shot that comes at him, and I have a bad feeling that he will be sent off to Europe at the end of the season...
Cann + Nana are absolutely amazing together. They prevent goals every two minutes
DeRo + JDG are excellent in the midfield, and DeRo is possessed (again) this year, and is scoring like a wildman.
Barrett is playing amazing this year. He is starting to hit the potential he has showed. He is connecting with a lot more of his shots, and the scoreboard is starting to show it.
and Preki... FINALLY a coach that gets it. Even after he is gone, I can see his effects lasting, as long as the replacement coach doesnt pull a preki, and redesign the team. His work on the mental aspect of the game, has turned everyone, even our weakest players, into players that you can send out there, and still be confident that you can atleast pull off a draw, or even snag that win (just like this past weekend).
Right now, we have the best squad we have ever had. Looking at the poll shows it... We have 6 star players, and quite possibly the best coach in the league.

Preki is a very good coach, and the fact that so many of his players shine, shows it. He's taken players that were mostly unremarkable as players (excluding deRo and JDG who are very good players), and now we look and see a team of solid players. Even Nick Garcia has improved immensely. We knew that Barrett had good potential, now he's starting to show some of it.
Best coach in the league, though? I'd have to say that's Bruce Arena.

Best coach is all down to who you ask. And Preki has turned both our squad, and the Chivas squads around. He has taken a bunch of sub-par players, and given them everything they need, to go out there and win.
I havent paid much attention to Bruce admittedly, but I wouldnt give preki up for any ofther MLS coach.

in that case, I'm liking Caan more and more....sounds very intelligent and he knows his strenghths and faults but is looking continuously to improve his game

I can't pick one even if I wanted too... If there was still Wynne... I'd be all over it!
However, I absolutely adore this years team. Barrett has come a LONG way... Attakora is just freakin' amazing and has such a ridiuclous amount of talent for his age it boggles my mind, Frei is just a "super keeper" and has so much passion it makes me wanna squeeze him, DeRo is TFC's hero...
However, one player that continues to stand out to me is Gargan. He is so charasmatic, quick, his abilities with the ball are superb and he is just an overal great player and athlete.
So... 1 is not enough! I pick 5 :)

Cann definately has the passion that i like to see. In some of his first interviews it was almost as if he was so filled with joy to be playing here that he was about to cry.
On top of the passion, he has been a monster at the back for us this season, in the air and on the ground. He has improved his game significantly over the years, and Preki seems to be getting the best out of him now. He is definately a big reason why we have been so hard to score against in recent games.
