Being the game is being broadcast and streamed with a 30 minute delay, in order to avoid spoilers, I propose we use the 30 minute delayed broadcast as the primary timing for posting comments.

In other words..even if you somehow know what is going on in real time please don't post it in this thread.

There is a lot of unorganized play out there. Haven't liked Sanyang's ability to do anything but clobber people and Gargan isn't offering much on his flank.

Dero, Gala, and Labrocca look ok, hopefully they can build on that in the 2nd half.
The backline has seemed to settle down and they are the highlight for TFC this half imho. Cann started the first few minutes a little shaky against Haber, but he has since adjusted and isn't giving Haber much space. TFC is containing Vancouver's speed along the wings. Usanov and Hscanovics have both looked pretty good so far. Both have been good on the ball with decent distribution. Dero has had the vision to take advantage of Usanov's runs down the wing. This little change in TFC's look is what I have been most impressed with. I agree that the midfield has looked disorganized and isn't linking well. Sanyang and Attakora have been doing excellent jobs covering.

I was thinking the exact same thing. This game has helped me appreciate JDG a lot more.

It's embarrassing...really. Our team can't pass without him it seems. We make a bunch of pointless passes nowhere and give it away. And that's the biggest knock on JDG but if 1/20 succeed for him, then 1/50 succeed when he's not there.

We have no holding mids on this team (save JDG) who actually move to smart positions to give their teammates someone to pass to. On top of that they struggle to make even the most simple passes to open up the field.

When you have a blockage with such a central cog, the entire team ends up looking bad.

Effort is great, but at some level this game has been everything that is wrong with north american soccer wrapped into 90 minutes. A ref who can't control the game and players who are overly physical but technically inferior.

can't be too upset with the result but in truth it was a poor match for us. the boys were tired and it showed, from Gala to DeRo to Gargan. Still, TFC road shoutout streak is 300'+ now and there seems to be more confidence when defending in our final third in the last few minutes.

Still, hope the boys get a chance to rest in advance of Saturday's match.
