No self-generated TFC coverage by the local papers. Or the Rock, in that lacrosse-league thingy final. No quotes, no insight.

Are freelance reporters out west that expensive to hire?

Wow, look at those standings. We're 3rd in the East, but tied with the last place team in the West!!!

A little disapointed that Preki failed to acknowledge Frie's contributions at the end of the 2nd half and in stoppage. He downplays Frei's impact in his post game interview on TFC TV.

^^ And alot on here overstate his contributions.

^ I think Preki was just really pissed about the officiating, especially the missed offside call on Buddle, but also a bunch of other calls & non-calls throughout the game. I've never seen him jumping around & yelling as much since he started with TFC, reminded me of John Carver. ;) In addition to his hopes for this TFC match, he's got the history of coaching Chivas vs the Galaxy in that stadium, and often not happy with the calls & some of the Galaxy players in that context.

But yeah, he let it get the better of him during the question about Frei. Although a few of those saves should never have been, due to messed-up calls, Stefan still did make a few bona-fide saves. Plus better your keeper plays through the crap, and saves the ref's butt as well as his teammates', rather than crying about spilt milk afterwards.

No, those games he gives away when we have a lead.
He's human. He makes great saves, but has fuck ups too.
He's nothing 'special'.

Didn't make my copy of the paper. But at least that's a decent effort to recap the game and put the result into context.

I'm happy with the game last night much better then was expected, and we maintained the 10th place spot in the league.

Though we are two points down from this time last season (12 points after 8 games), the Defensive composure of the Team this year looks like they may not fuck up, so I have decent hope that this tie may actually make up for the loses at the begining of the season.

My personal goal currently is now to see this team not go 3 games straight without a win. Last year they did it without a lose, but I want to see no more then 2 games without a win. And I'd really like to see last night be number 2 a 9 game MLS unbeaten and 12 game all comp. May be a bit of a dream, but most of the games are at home.

Fair enough, but if you compare what he does for Toronto to other MLS keepers you'll have to admit he's above-par.

Not sure if this is true or not but I heard b4 that Preki never mentions specific players when talking about a game. He keeps that win or lose as a team mentality.

Again, not sure if that's true or not but maybe that's why he didn't single out Frei as a hero.
