With LA Galaxy announcing a friendly against Boca Juniors I would imagine we see them in the Carlsberg Cup as well, any thoughts on the topic?

I don't see the correlation.

As I recall when we played Independiente they played 2 other MLS clubs on a tour, last year with River Plate they plyed the Impact and I believe one other team on a tour....it would fit the trend

There are a ton of clubs doing a multi city tour of mls.

as long as it means those BOCA fans that joined us in 112 come back. .. they really rasaed the bar as far as drumming. . . IT was legendary, in fact, I have heard that particular game mentioned in the stands twice this year already. . . . .

awesome

The Carlsberg cup is such a letdown. Every year we make it all the way to the final only to lose...

at least this season we have doubled the amount of penalties converted in our history, so should we take it to the shootout again, we will be in better position.

usually teams that tour/play friendlies on the west coast, stick to the west coast, same deal with teams on the east coast

most teams do not like flip flopping many time zones

I'd like to see a name Euro. team, particularly as so many are scheduled to be passing through NA. Nothing wrong with team's from Japan or Korea, they just don't hold a lot of interest for me. We were kind of spoiled year one with Villa and Benfica, nothing's really measured up to that since.

Id love to see us go up against a English Championship side...

Newcaslte.....W.Brom..Swansea.....ect..ect??? Pick one!

Even QPR!

If its another South American side.....pm me for my tickets... :)

A team from JAPAN would be cool too... Urawa Reds!....Wonder if they have a good traveling fan base...there supporters are next to none!

Newcastle or QPR would be really cool teams to host at BMO for the CC. Boca Juniors would be pretty cool too.

I don't care about bringing in creme de la creme world-class teams for these matches - I'd rather see interesting teams. How about Ajax? Or PSG? Or Leeds? Or Lazio?

I'm sure if there's a decent team coming to Toronto, it will be the extra friendly and as usual they will push another garbage team for the match that we've already paid for.

Paul Beirne said they are only doing 1 game as the season will be congested with the World Cup.

Other than the fact that I'm a total Leeds fanboy, I think this would be interesting if we faced a team which included Paul Dickov, Mike Grella and Carl Robinson's cousin Andy. Any other TFC references I missed?

all i can say is, if you look at the SSH ticket manager the carlsberg cup falls before our final mls game (jun 5th vs KC) b4 world cup break.... this would be extremely upsetting if we have to play 3 games in 7 days jeopardizing mls points b4 the extended break... mlse make sure this game is played after the jun 5 wizards match.!!!
