...on The Footy Show (The Score) right now, talking Toronto FC.
Wearing team hoodie ...

Not sure if this is from yesterday (?)
Either way, on right now.

Yup...yesterday's interview. Saw it at the pub pre-match.

Still, thanks for posting. I'm sure not all of us have seen it.

He seems to be a big time supporter , Good on him, I cannot see Rob Ford being the same way. he probably thinks Footy is to socialist.

My only "cringe" moment was when he called the keeper a "goaltender". That was a little too "hockey". :D

Unfortunately, the next mayor will probably not be as big a footy fan if at all. He was definitely an ally.

Love him or hate him once Miller is done as Mayor you won't see the next mayor being such a fan, you will not see a Toronto mayor for a long time being such a TFC fan. If Ford gets in don't be surprised to see him push for the Argos to get into BMO field, Ford is a big American style Football guy, I think he coaches a high school football team, he voted against building BMO field saying that a pro soccer team would not be successful in Toronto and that we already had stadiums were a pro soccer team could play out of like Lamport Stadium.

Maybe Smitherman will win. I bet he likes the pink kits. :hide:

The only way ford wins is if Rossi and Smitherman split the vote. I would not be surprised if either of them were pro footy. But either of them would justly try to but some restrains on city spending.

Ford is going to get milage now, but closer to the election many will back off.

they are all major downgrades on Miller-classy guy and without him there would be nothing to do on summer weekends!

Ford wanted TFC to play at Centennial..... so what's that say to you? It says 'fail' to me.

Amen. His idea of vision is to clean up the graffiti.

Football aside, Miller was a very good Mayor - the press and media were relentless in unfair criticism. Toronto ranked #4 in world most liveable cities , #1 by OECD in NA financial stability and surplus budget thru a recession ... a real underachiever eh ??

I know Ford from years back- he is an absolute soccer hater....he makes soccer haters in the media like Bob McGowan or Jim Rome look like casual supporters.

Ford hates soccer...TFC fans in Toronto (Etobicoke North) need fear him and the impending football lines at BMO if he become mayor.

Ford being a football guy, why would he want the Argos not playing in their own building? Why take them from one building theyre a secondary tennant to another one? Wouldn't a football guy want the Argos to have a true home?

Besides, I think with grass and the north stand that ship has sailed. The Argos will need to man up and build their own stadium, theres too much MLSE investment already in BMO for them to allow that to happen. For what it'd cost to pay MLSE off, the city and the Argos could easily build a CFL equivalent of BMO at Varsity or Downsview, which would be the best solution for all parties
