see this is the problem.. they weren't ready for the season cuz they didn't have the kickoff dinner until now. i expect big things now that they are kicking off.

I'm trying to go, but Bree Carr-Harris seems to be ignoring my phone calls and emails of visa info, so haven't actually confirmed anything yet.

Plymouth had to cancel their end of season supporters awards evening, as fewer than 15 people showed interest.

I'm thinking it's a similar situation here, can't think why MLSE of all people would so adamantly ignore my attempts to give them money.

Unless they've figured out the connection between my name and my username here and thought "well fuck, we don't want that negative bastard turning up".

I'm trying really hard not to take it personally.

^ She hasn't replied to me yet either (but to be fair, it hasn't been that long yet)

I gave up with Bree and called my ticket rep. He said he would organize it for me and he's usually pretty good but that was 10 days ago and my card has not been charged yet.

I think it must be lack of interest, they haven't got the required numbers to go ahead with it yet. They obviously can't tell people that though, so they're going for silence until they get enough people to confirm they're going ahead.

pure conjecture on my part obviously, but it's the only reason i can come up with.

Still advertising for this during the game. Maybe we're not important enough to get a return phone call...?

I got my confirmation email today. I guess they got past the minimum number they needed to make it worth while.

as for that "mlse spends too much donation money on fundrasing" article from last week, I'm certainly not thinking of this as a donation, and wouldn't have been giving my money otherwise, so if it's 50% that the charity gets( don't remember the exact percentage) well thats $150 out of $300 that the charity wouldn't have got.

It's a PR event anyways. If they don't get many buyers they'll just get corporate "fillers".
