Hey guys next week Friday June 27th at Oshawa Civic Stadium and June 28 at Lamport TFC Academy will play back to back games against Montreal Impact's farm team. I think these are 2 games we should be out supporting our young talent.

Arguably the best rival in the CSL? Comparable to Serbia White Eagles vs Tor Croatia?

I plan on being at the Lamport game, the RPB Durham should put together a group for the Oshawa game, I have had a great time each time I have gone to a game at Lamport even when it rained last weekend.

It's Still Early. This can build into a great rivalry just like that. It's time to start supporting Canada's future stars.

It would be nice if TFC would put up the names of those on the academy team like some of the other MLS teams do. It would make it easier to follow.

two games in two days? Why?

And . . . brutal.

It is probably because of the cost for the team to travel so I guess they decided to have a double header. Seems pretty logical to me even though both teams might be tired.

ya thats probably it. Good thing we're young and can play two games in two games and probably not get effected by it as much.

They're playing here in Oshawa? Still haven't been able to make it out to a TFC Academy match, but if it's just down the street, I can probably swing that easily.

Yea that would be good if we can get the RPB Durham out to support the team in their move towards the top of the CSL standings

I think they should have played TFC Academy v. Trois -Rivieres / TFC v. Montreal double header at BMO. Would have been a great opportunity to give the Academy team more exposure.

I agree with those who feel that there should pics and rosters for the Academy teams on the website. I hope TFC does a better job of "presenting" the academy teams in the future.

Yea I agree with you on the fact they need to have bios and such on the website. I think exposure has been great for them already and to go to different cities like Oshawa gives them a better opportunity.

Hopefully for next year or maybe even before the end of this year they can have that up on the website. As long as these kids keep developing we need to be there to support them in the GTA.

Someone must be listening, the Academy page has been updated:

http://toronto.fc.mlsnet.com/t280/youth/academy/

from the U16 roster:

13 Verdugo, Andre F Colo-Colo Chile

That’s kind of interesting.

^ he must be a Toronto resident but new to the country. I hope we get a full residency program going at some point (like the whitecraps have).

Anyway from what i've seen of the academy so far that Pena guy looks like a good player and the really really fast guy who plays on the left wing. He's probably already fast enough to play in MLS, he just needs to stregthen up and work on his technique.

Who's Frank Damiano on the U-16 team? I like him already!

And a fine Bolton lad ... Joseph Dimonte

tough loss by the kids on Saturday but I heard it was close and could be a benefit to play them at home this weekend with our home supporters.

Would should buy his jersey off him, then get the name printed on the back.

So who's interested in the Saturday game downtown?
I have a feeling it might get a small turnout with the long weekend and all,
but you never know.... watching a game is better than NOT watching a game.
