One cool thing about MLS is that they tend to "try out" the new kit templates on MLS teams. NYRB had the zipper collar shirt a half season before Chelski did, now look like we're leading the back with this new one. Nothing else like it on Football Shirt Culture.

MLSE has nothing to do with the new intriduction of a third jersey. MLS jersies are on a two year cycle meaining the home and away will be revamped for next year. The 3rd jersey changes every year. In Europe jersies change every year s=

I don't think the same people are assigned both these tasks ... although I do agree with your second point. I do hope that people try to control their materialistic urges and refrain from putting any more money in the pockets of the team until the team shows some real urgency to fix up their act first. Going to the game in order to support the guys on the field is fine but secondary stuff like merchandise should be put on hold.

Jersey is $119.95, and yes the seasons dicount applies so...101.99 plus tax.

Number and names are $35 or $40 bucks. The new store is not open until June and that is where center sports will be moving too.

Just thinking out load here - But my guess is TFC took a serious look at shirt sales and likely saw a large difference between the number of red vs. gray sold.

While not scientific, just look around and you only see a few gray shirts compared to red. This gives TFC an opportunity to bring in a kit that hopefully more fans will like and generate additional revenue from shirt sales.

The only thing that stinks about this jersey is that many fans will be wearing them at the home games. One of the best parts of watching you guys on tv is the absolute sea of red. However, I really do like the kit.
