Brennan was the captain in the preseason games he played. Safe assumption is that he will still be captain come Saturday.

Well that would certainly make the coin toss interesting. I imagine a lot of opposing captains would just concede and let us choose end and kick off as we wanted! :D

ML$E teams don't need captains. It's perfectly fine as long as we sell out every game.

Brennan will be captain. He is the last of the first, and the first of the first, and he is a long time pro and unlikely to do/say something stupid to the refs.

I thought that DeRo was the de facto captain, but he has blown it with the money rants. I cannot imagine that the rest of the team missed that. He may still become captain, but not until he takes it from Brennan, again.

Jimmy didn't start for one of the Charleston games, and someone else was captain. Who was it, DeRo or JDG? I can't remember.

Unfortunately, Jimmy DOES sometimes say stupid things to the ref. I've seen him swear about calls too many times. I appreciate his heart & all, but sometimes I wish he would cool it with the refs. DeRo would probably have the same problem. That never gets the ref on your side.

Long term, I think De Guzman could keep his cool & has the skill to back it up. I know the captain often isn't the team "star" but maybe he would be the best choice. For now, JDG is still pretty new on the team, but lets see what Preki decides later in the season.

DeGuzman should be the captain, because he has the more quality experience. There's other specific skills needed to be a captain but it's not like we are at the same team we were in 2007 and in 2010 we might be shit, but we definitely have someone to build around in DeGuzman.

same Jimmy B who couldn't prevent a poisonous locker room from developing last season? you sure we want this guy to be the leader in the locker room again this season?

I know Brennan has heart. but I'm not sure if he's got the leadership skills to handle bunch of characters in a locker room.

sadly, there isn't anyone else in TFC squad I'd consider a good captain material. DeRo is too... undiplomatic at times to be taken seriously as the team captain

Brennan has not led this team any where.He is part of a defence that was one of the weakest in mls.He gets beat alot down the wing and is often late for his challenges and then complains to the ref.The players that should have been traded or released should have been our defenders not the mids or forwards.It is time for a new captain.How many goals is Garcia and Brennan going to be resposible for this season

There are no players worthy enogh to be captain on this team.

Mo has built a sinking ship. year 4 will be the worse in the teams short history. I didn't think it could getb worse considering we have had poor quality the first 3 years, yet Mo has built a team destined for failure.

Reality is that this team on paper is alot worse than last year. They have lost Guevera, Vita and Gerba and now WYnn. Who have we added? Take the sunglases off.

They just traded their best player Wynn. Wow. How can people support Mo Johnson?

Really? Last time I checked this team had DERO and JDG.

Losing Wynne, Vitti and Gerba isn't exactly the end of the world. As a matter of fact, I think it's a step in the right direction.

Losing Gerba , Robinson and Guevera was good.

Losing Serioux, Vitti and now Wynne makes no sense at all.
