Robbo's controllng the midfield against Santos, taking NY's free kicks.

2-0 now.

2-0 now for RBNY.

Whoever is playing the middle for RBNY is playing really, really, well. (no it`s not robinson)

The speed of Richards, Kjandi, etc.. giving Santos problems

Beautiful corner from Robbo. Completely controlling the game. 2-0. We got a draft pick for him.

I should note, that's with NY down to 10 men since the 17 minute.

3-0 Red bulls. They're taking santos apart.

I can tell you right now, beware of their coach.

He has them organized in exactly the right fashion. He`s using all their speed to counter and has them tight defensively.

Is Juan Pablo Angel even playing... didn`t see him there.

No JPA, still recovering from JDG's tackle in Florida.

yeah really. Backe has the Shite counter with purpose utilizing Kandji and Richards speed. and their passing isn't flaccid like TFCs...

the thing is, I don't think NY has any really awesome passers. Robbo and Ubiparovic aren't exactly great passers. though that Limpere guy looks good on wing

and no JPA. that's the crazy part

At least now there is another team to follow in MLS.....Go Robbo, sorry but I am getting this leaf feeling, and thats why I gave up on leafs and their continued BS....I do not care what happens until MO is gone, I love the players, love the sweater, love RPB's, HATE the mgmt, I really feel with MO it's ME first TO 2nd.....please do not wreck this great thing we have Mo, get some dignity, quit, a ya you can`t you are in deep with the bookies, That has to be it, right...and we`re hopin Barrett saves us

Isn't it just peachy, knowing that we're paying $175k for Robinson to command the middle of the pitch against Santos.

In a way, I'm glad he'll get to retire there; he was miserable, having to put up with Mo and his crap.. now he'll go out with a bang -- inaugural season for the best SSS in MLS and with a team that's really finding it's form, of late.

As someone's already mentioned, elsewhere, I hope Robbo can add fuel to our fire, by having an amazing year and exposing the poor management of our beloved TFC.

Tschuess.

Like every year it seems we get the newbie team and guess what, we`ll have our hands full........... I say just past mid season when our corp finally catches the drift and we`re in last place, and scalpers, (who call the shots), BTW, can`t sell tickets, then finally MO is let go, and some poor front office, newbe is made to put a positive spin on it. and the start of the never ending cycle may have a new beginning.........Oh ya Montreal gets in and shows us how really organized they are, etc...

Ok, impressive performance.

And i still hold out hope we can be ahead of a rebuilding New England, a hopeless KC, and maybe a backwards DC United. But i`m not even sure about two of those at the current rate.

Santos with a goal on pretty much the last touch of the game. It seems as if Boyens lost his man on the free kick lol. But yeah ... great result for NYRB in a good opening act for the stadium

Oh Shit, they're not even using Juan Pablo Angel. And that Agudelo kid is only 17!

Santos whole squad consisted of players 21 and under.
The guy who was slipping around New Yorks defence was Neymar.
He got fouled so many times, but the referee was being a prick to him.

Side note:

Neymar Da Silva
Has attracted substantial interest from European clubs including Manchester City, Manchester United, Milan, Real Madrid, Arsenal F.C., F.C. Barcelona and Chelsea

Price range: 35 million U.S.

Wow the Red Bulls are fior real, a great stadium and I think they have a real team to go with the stadium, the Red Bulls will be the team of the 2010 season, they may not win it all , however, will be one of the revelations of the 2010 season, you heard it here first people.

NY players must be super pumped about the new stadium.
No more playing in that empty cavern anymore.
The possibility of a large attendance and support.
It must feel like Christmas.

Meanwhile, I am green with envy.

Obstructed view seats fail

If I were them, that's where I'd put the away fans. But I'm pretty sure they have them behind the goal in the upper deck.

do you have 200 million dollars lying around by chance? you too can build a RBA
The mother of RBA, Wörtherseestadion in Klagenfurt cost~ $100 mil CDN for a capacity of 7,000 more at 32,000.
RBA's price increase was in large part due to a scrapping of the previous plans for the stadium resulting in new architect drawings and permits, construction delays, building on contaminated land, and then finding other contaminates when digging actually began.
A lot of that $200 million was not in steel and bricks.
I am sure it can be done for FAR less if those factors can be avoided.

I don't know if any of their games will be sellouts for red bulls mls games. I was on thier site screwing around trying to buy season tickets and there are plenty of seats in all areas for sale. it's safe to assume there are thousands of season seat location for sale still and the season starts next week.
