SSG: Hot! Hot! HOT!:flare:

Ty Harden:

I realise he's a backup on the team, but he's no different than Marco Velez, but slower. It's an added plus that he can play as a Left Back, but we need better than this from our international players. We've all seen what the Sounders are doing with their International roster players, and its just embarrassing to still be looking for depth guys like him.

I can see he's a decent guy with good motives and very good attitude towards the game but so is Chad Barrett and he hasn't done shit. C'mon.

MLS Cup In Toronto::canada:

Considering that the comissioner and the league still don't know where to play the championship game before the season starts is just amateur. C'mon now. Kinda makes you think they were anticipating the worse of the labour negotiations, and if the league does not get underway on schedule, chances are the league will loook for a major market to try and create buzz around the championship........Toronto would be a lock. As long as noone checks the weather network, which is already predicting golden showers.:drinking:

Wow - you've seen enough of him already to jump to this conclusion?

How is it any different from last year - when there weren't any labour negotiations to worry about?

Instead of bidding to host the MLS cup why dont we build a team that is fit to be in it....but oh no...that might be asking too much.

One of my favourite morning rituals in the 'New of the Day' thread is to look at denime's SSG "rating" with the smiley faces / drooling / angry etc and see if I agree LOL...

Today - I AGREE! :D

Anyone else choke when they read Tom Anselmi say that "it's good for us as champions of these sports"?

(And yes, I understand that the word "champion" has multiple meanings. I still think it's the way a blowhard talks, in the context of just how poorly their teams have performed.)

Where do you get that from? What do you base this on, as it's a long cry from anything I've read about the guy so far.

But it is really sad that in a city this big no one else is "championing" these sports.

Sorry if this has already been discussed or posted.

The Brewers boss is undecided whether to offer terms to fellow countryman Cann despite persuading him to put off his return to Canada where he has a deal lined up with Toronto in Major League Soccer.

FYI

Favourite paragraph....

The Sounders held a slight edge in play in the first half but many of their chances were called offside, particularly irritating formal Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg when he appeared to be set free in the 28th minute. A Sounders goal on a header from midfielder Steve Zakuani was called offside.
