Too bad the Star article won't let us post comments....it would be a real disappointment if this season does not happen.

can you imagine a lock out?
poor poor Philly.. . . . . this league will totally tank out if it happens.
I mean we dont really have the strongest of bases as it is. . it is improving but, the league better do whatever they need to do to make the players happy. . .

I am sure the players union feel they are finally entitled to a lil more at thsi critical junction.

'Look for TSN to announce a fairly significant soccer property acquisition sometime in the next few weeks. TSN2 is expected to announce new programming as well.'

You don't see much soccer news at Billy Houston's column, but he does get some nice tidbits about sports broadcasting. Has this item been posted on here yet?

Any idea what property(-ies) they'll be getting? Can't wait to see Durwood Dutczhyszhczynyan or Rod. Smith. pretend to be all excited about soccer highlights.

Can't find the story online on TSN's soccer property acquisition or any info on the columnist. Is there a link for that story?

The CRTC has adjusted the conditions for TSN2's broadcast license. Previously they were only allowed to broadcast a certain amount of live hours independent from what TSN broadcast. Now the two channels are indeed two separate channels and can be programmed independently. It will be interesting to see what TSN does with the two channels now that they have free reign.

I've seen this line of thinking in a few posts, but here's another two big reasons for TFC to get the line-up taken care of.

^ I just read that too. But i'm not hopeful without binding arbitration, which i doubt the owners would ever agree to because they'd get pounded.
