Very hard choice. Both awesome goals but without taking anything away from Dichio, there's no way anyone can argue that his goal is better. And I'm saying this even though Dichio is my favourite player.

I'm goping for Ricketts. He needs this more than Danny D.

did you see the footwork on the second goal!??! Ricketts for sure!!!

Danny's was truly awesome, but Ricketts' second was much more suspenseful and finished with a huge payoff. A great goal and a great moment. Plus I think even if it were a tie RR should get a .5 for it being his second of the night lol

Ricketts for me, that back heel deke was magical.

Fromm 112, the Ricketts goal was spectacular.

Not just the strike, but the way he fucking BAMBOOZLED their defenders and then knifed that ball right into the roof of the net.

I was so afraid he was going to look for Cunny, but obviously Rohan has figured out that he should stop trying to feed the ball to the useless one and take the strike himself. (I wish Robert would clue in)

Ricketts deserves the award. Danny's volley came to him after a defensive mistake, and didnt require any real worlk on his part beyond placing the volley. Excellent goal, but by default, not quite as well played as Ricketts.

I think the kid needs it more then Danny. Having said that Danny's strike was world class.

Dichio!!....to hit that off the volly....and bend it with precision into the corner simply amazing!.....Ricketts was PURRRRDY....but i gotta give it to Dichio..!

Danny's goal, was a pure striker's goal & set the table for the afternoon goalfest

Gotta be Ricketts. Dichio's shot was nice but the ball fell right to him. Ricketts took on two guys in the box cleared space and put a laser on net. I love Dichio, but without bias I can't see how anyone truly feels that is a better goal.

Dichio's goal was fantastic.

But Hell... Rickett's goal was insane / unbelievable / completely ridiculous. We'll be lucky if we see another goal like that for our TFC. That was the goal of the franchise so far - Jimmy's set piece being a very close second.

Rickett's was very "Ronaldinho-esque."

I think Rickets winning would boost his confidence (on top of the two goals)... Especially after hearing his post clips that he was so frustrated not scoring...

Both are beauties...

I had a difficult time deciding because I went as nuts for Dichio's goal as I did for both of Ricketts'. Eventually I had to choose RR's because of the sheer brilliance of the play leading up to it.

If Robert's freekick had gone in..we would probably see 3 TFC Players Nominated for Goal of the week...it's hard to choose between the 2 they're both world class goals...but I'll go for Ricketts a first time nominee

Looks like the DCU vote bots are out. They now have a hefty lead on a pretty uninspiring goal, considering the company.

With the Guevara vs. Gallardo goal earlier on, I could live with it if the DC people rigged the vote because you could make a case that the Gallardo goal was very nice as well. But here, you have three goals that are better than the DC goal: Ricketts, Dichio and Buddle. If the DC goal wins over any of these three, it just shows how much of a joke the whole thing is.

No one, rigged the vote, we just have a bigger/broader fanbase. (http://www.frappr.com/dcusupporters/map)

So once word got out (http://www.behindthebadge.com/2008/06/vote-for-clyde.php), of course we voted for our guy. You lot do the same, ie: the all TFC player all star voting.

Dude, they've already caught your guys rigging the vote with 100s of votes within a matter of minutes, just a few weeks ago. That's why everyone is talking about your guys cheating -- in fact, I'm sure if you were here often enough to have a conversation these days instead of just trolling, you could find someone to hunt up the thread for you (either here or on Goff, can't remember which) in which one of your fans admits it.

So get back to contributing something or take the trolling elsehwere, Ok? It's kind of sad. It's not right when one of us does it -- and lord, don't think the temptation to stop by the Columbus Few's board doesn't ache a bit -- and it isn't right when you do it either.

Classless, either way. Unless, of course, you're actually deluded enough to think a long strike deserves to beat Ricketts faking two defenders out of their jockstraps.

Please explain, if your fanbase is so big and broad why do you have to spend so much time on our board, can't you find your own friends to play with?

Oh yeah, Ricketts goal rocked, count one vote from me.

*barf*... where is this broader fan base of vote riggers for the all star voting then? Ironic that when you have to enter more than a click the drop-off is quite significant.

Goff reported both sides used scripts in that case, and one of your fans kicked it off and posted the script on U-sector, which a DC fan then posted on our boards. So quit whinging. You started it.

I spend time here watching what you do but I post more on DC boards.

Ricketts goal is nice but Emilio scored many goals like that last year so not as good as Simms long bomb from outside the box. That was a missle of a shot.

Oh, so it's wrong for us, because we "started it" but not for you. I acknowledged that we'd done it as well and that it was wrong for us already you pillock. Stop defending your own position when you know it's indefensible, because it's beneath you. Go back to contributing to these boards with your knowledge and history of the league, not ad hominem attacks on TFCs fan base.

Otherwise, as others have put it more bluntly, just fuck off. We're here for a good time, not a long time, asshole, and we all have to go to work tomorrow.
