Took a quick scan of the forum and didn't see a mention of this interview anywhere.

On The FAN 590 with Nigel Reed and Bob Iarusci:

With Garcia giving all these interviews, maybe he will be the new captain... :hide:

I will be very disappointed if Serioux is gone and this loser is still on the squad come the start of the season

At the very least he will be part of the foundation of this years team.
And the cornerstone of our defense. :hide:

I have some pretty big reservations about Garcia after seeing his play continually struggle while he was on our back line.

I cant help but hold out some hope for the idea that the system (or lack thereof) that cummins had people playing was too hard for Garcia. We were pretty open, shapeless on the backline and open to fast counter football. All scenarios that aging defenders whose legs are going will struggle with.

If what ever Preki is proposing plays to his strengths he may not be as big of a liability as we saw last year.

Maybe, but he still cannot run fast or jump very well, even if a better system leaves him less exposed positionally. I'll be worried if he's a starter for us this season.

Heard it live last night. Not much substance. Reed and Iarusci spoke to him about the CBA issues right now as Garcia is a team rep for TFC.

They didn't talk at all about Garcia's future with TFC.

Pretty boring interview.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Garcia hating.

Cant wait for the first game at BMO, we should all get together for some pints before hand. Maybe come out and watch Columbus together.

Rooney may be right he may be LESS of a liability in a better strierk, HOWEVER, one on one with a striker he is problematic, He cannot leap to knock a ball away, He can be outrun by an striker with average speed, He Cannot outmuscle anyone anywere, so even if you resolve his positional issues, he has NON of the physycal attributes you would like to see in a CB. When he first came on he showed some of the mental attributes of a CB, but those faded as the season when on.
