The MLS should celebrate that they are getting some decent PR from IFFHS for being declared the #46 Best League in the world for the 2009 season. Last season the IFFHS named the MLS #79 for the 2008 season. IFFHS is some what contraversial in their listings but as far as list go, their list is the most popular.

Like FIFA rankings, these rankings should be taken with a grain of salt (or maybe a truckload of salt).

Yes, MLS will keep on growing, but it will take some time though. Gotta be patient.

Angola - we're gaining on you!

Get rid of the salary cap and allow clubs to spend within their means, and you'll see us jump 10 spots AT LEAST.

Its like university rankings. Should rank on each of the criteria.
- stadia capacity in total
- attendance
- ratio of attendance-capacity (we'd fare pretty well here !!!)
- revenue
- profit
- salary of players
- salary of FO staff
....etc

Brazilian league above Serie A? That's pretty silly.

Same comment for the rankings of the Estonian, Georgian, Moldovan and Uzbek leagues (all higher than MLS, Sweden, Norway).
