Nice one guys! Puts ours to shame ;) That is first class. What materials did you use?

Not sure what the protocol is, but should we present the banners to his family? Think that would be a nice gesture.

Thanks everyone.

I *know* that his family appreciates this!

Budgie - you were a star!

Thanks for the praise on the banner guys. This couldn't have been done without FluSH, Carts, Pronto, and AL-MO. Those guys are the real stars on this one. Working through a hell of a lightning storm on Friday the 13th with the power going out briefly at one point? This had horror show written all over it, but we pulled it off.

Its the effort and gesture that matters, good job on both ends.

I really think that that would be a great idea and really think that his wife and family will appreciate it a lot.

We (my wife and I) will talk to his wife tomorrow and ask her...

Perfect, it's theirs if they're cool with it, thanks.

I think they will but it will likely need to be low key event. The family is hit pretty hard but appreciate the support...

We left the big BUDGIE banner at BMO attached to the railing. I would have suggested that the one the NEE guys did be the one to give to his wife anyway since it's got the dates and everything on it. Maybe we could get as many people as possible to sign it with one of those silver sharpies or whatever?

It's a great idea.

I know his wife really appreciated the minutes silence and the banners produced. It was a great show of respect...

We'll call tomorrow...

I think they both looked great. And to be honest, I liked the RPB one better because the letters were bigger and you could see it better.

Great effort by both groups though.

Bigger is not always better...it wasn't about size or showing off, but about showing respect for a man who had nothing but love for the game and TFC.

And I agree...bigger is not always better....at least I hope that's the case!!!

Both banners were definitely great and I am proud of everyone who contributed....and definitely to the entire stadium for that moment of silence....very well observed by all.....great job everyone...

and the Budgie banner was still on the rail in the South End according to AL-MO

couldn't really get a good one when it was hanging up, not such a great angle from 120.

Looked great though, nice of people to show the respect to budgie and his family with the banners and the silence.

The banner from the south end, was as far as I know, packed up with the supporter gear that gets left at the stadium each week. If it wasn't picked up by the time the stadium closed, I am pretty sure it wouldn't have been tossed by the BMO staff.

I agree actually, why not just leave it up all season long?
