Just noticed that alot of teams are changing their kits for this year, was wondering if anyone heard that TFC would be?

Here's what all the new kits look like

When last years jerseys were released the club said that they would be the 2009 and 2010 jerseys, so I do not believe we will be changing this season. Hope not- just as all 4 of us have the updated ones!

word on the street is a replacement for the gray away jersey, but the red home kit will be the same.

I think the league knows better than to update annually. It can work for the huge euro clubs, not not here.

^^^ If the one kit was black and Red, and NOT the Crew, it would look really nice!

^^ ummmm.... Is that a woman's cut jersey on the right? Look at the arms?

And what's with NYRB and the open collar thing?

It is supposed to be a 2 year cycle for us.

we changed last yr...a lot of teams didnt. last yr they started the country flag on the arm. our design of the jersey allowed for the flag patch. for the teams that did not change last yr, the patch was just placed over the adidas arm piping.

so the teams that didnt change last yr should be changing this yr.

it looks like we are changing kits every two yrs.....although we have heard of a third (white )jersey for TFC this yr. this could mean that in 2011, we have a new red as a home and the white could be made as the away.

i will be quite pissed if i gotta buy some more, i just dropped 300 on an away and a home jersey with names on the back under the understanding that we had them for another year and there would be no sales

Adidas and Major League Soccer (MLS) announced a 10-year sponsorship agreement in November 2004 to make Adidas the official athletic sponsor and licensed product supplier for the league, and to work together to create a developmental league for MLS.[25]

Nothing really exciting in the new jersey's. IMO - too many of them use the same template.

As far as TFC goes, my understanding is that we are on a different 2 year cycle from many of the other MLS teams. So other than the introduction of a white jersey (to rid us of the pink stink) TFC will have the same look for the 2010 season.

The one I like the best out of that list though is Colorado. I love that they don't have a sponsor and chose to leave the shirt blank instead of putting "colorado" or something like that. Looks great.

They should alternate, changing one of the home or away kits each year. Always something new to look at and talk about without completely fleecing the supporters.

A variation in the away kits for teams would be much welcome. All MLS teams do is reverse the colors and add or remove stripings... Variety people!!!

Overall, I like the new MLS kits other than the Shite Bulls jersey. It is a far cry from the utter crap MLS teams wore several years ago...

yeah, I hate saying it, but that black and yellow stripe kit is a great design (IF IT WAS BLACK AND RED).

Yep, I would love it if we came out with even a third strip that had no sponsors logo on it. it'd be nice to own a jersey, but can't bring myself to buy one of the big bmo adverts.

Maybe one day they'll wake up and change their logo - as that's one of the worst, if not the worst, in the league...

not so much a fan of the black jerseys unless its part of the club colors, hence id say grey (which i dont think would look that nice) or white

Columbus has a nice away jersey and it's nice to see Chicago's jersey without that big ugly box surrounding Best Buy. Too many of the jersey's are the same

It sure would be neat. And there is a sponsor that could make that happen:

I wonder if they intentionally left off the country flags?

honestly IMO the flags need to come off the jerseys

it seems to patriotic, for no reason

just double patch the jerseys,

Pretty cool.

Though perhaps a little too flashy?

One of my biggest issues with a lot of jerseys in recent years (whether it be MLS, NHL, etc) is that they often get too fancy.

IMHO, the best jerseys are always the simplest and most classic styles.
