and certainly pay no attention to what I wrote over on the usector board.

Happy ho ho everyone.

I was being facetious in taking the credit. I assumed it was obvious to many (like you) that this was for ESPN.

3,019, that number ring a bell?

Thats the average Marlies attendance. 8,140 is what Ricoh holds.

Paul, I totally understand that none of these decisions can be routed back to you, but you are the link between us and them. So if the "all-sports pack" is made available to the 10 Marlies fans, I have two questions. One is have they ever made it to the Marlies website? and two is, Why not include cheap Raptors tickets? Lets be honest the Marlies suck and its not great hockey, good but not great.

Do you think that if the TFC tickets that are available in the 'sports packs' were simply sold as TFC packs that anyone would complain about not being able to buy Marlie tickets at the same time?

I don't mean to bust your balls, I'm sure my questions are coming across more aggressive than they are meant to be but the the level of frustration surrounding the TFC/Marlies tickets is high and open talk might help ease some of that.

ArmenJBX
12-18-2009, 03:01 PM
1 leafs game ticket, JUST 1 leafs game ticket, would have sold me on an All Season sports pack.

6 Marlies tickets at 200 bux approximately, when I can go down to Ricoh and get 10 games for less then that!? Is this MLSE's way of inflating ticket sales to justify a franchise that, let's face it, isn't anything to be proud of? This is exploitation of the loyal Toronto FC fan. I would have payed you the 300 dollars for the partial pack, I really would have. On a moral stance, I cannot. I see that those tickets are only 184, and I see how those Marlies tickets are 170, and my mind and my heart tell me I'm being screwed and ripped off.

I hope I don't see this shit again next year. It's unacceptable.

I also agree... it's funny on the interweb, but I don't think it will be effective as a banner.

Two things.
1) I don't think I can spell facetious
2) Is Paul being facetous (see what I did there spelling wise :) )

Because night games suck. I thought they ruin the atmosphere for the first 15 minutes of the game? Consistency of product means every home game every Saturday at 3pm. Like when we were kids watching Leafs games. Saturdays and Wednesdays starting 8pm. Clockwork.

Seriously Paul? Or said facetiousness (whew !) in saying this is a gift.

Night games are cool, but the bottom line is everyone wants to make the home opener and there's more chance of that if the game is a Saturday 3pm kick off.

I understand that this was ESPN's doing, but in future can you put some pressure on to try and keep the home opener on a Saturday afternoon Paul? Cheers.

well said
this is what i agree with.
it's a work night for me. now i have to skip getting an extra $110 or whatever it is now, as well as possibly booking the afternoon off so i can get myself time to attend.
not complaining, i'm just stating. the 75 mile bastard club yet again.
also to add; funny how they can reschedule for ESPN, but an international date you can't?
thank god i still won't be full time in the army by then, because if i was? there would be HELL to pay.
