Zambian Songwe Chalwe is weighing up his options after being informed by Moroka Swallows that they will not exercise their one-year option on his contract and would thus allow it to expire at the end of June.

At the same time the player has received offers from ambitions First Division side Mpumalanga Black Aces while another club in the United Arab Emirates have indicated their interest should he come over to Dubai for trials.

Nicknamed 'Sharp Shooter' by the fans during his time at local side Red Arrows, Songwe joined Kaizer Chiefs in 2004 but a series of injuries limited his appearances for the Amakhosi.

The second of the famous Zambian Chalwe brothers also has an option to try his luck in the North American Major League where South African Shaun Bartlett first played for a season before Bolton Wanderers and later Charlton Athletics recruited him with Mark Fish to feature in the English Premiership.

I don't know WW, he's pretty much crapped out in South Africa. I know he was huge in Zambia but he's had tough times lately putting it in the net.

yea, if the only offers are coming from South Africa second division and UAE, I wonder how serious the MLS offer can be. But it is just a trial, and he has been injured off and on, there can't be much discrepancy between him and some of the players on the Earthquakes.
