Why is Mark Viduka still without a club?

Andy van der Meyde. Probably another Laurent Robert, but still worth a look?

Last time that I saw him he looked like he was training to take Samuel's pie eating title away from him.

Comparing Viduka to Colin Hamuel is like comparing lautrec to lucy, the elephant that paints.

I'd take a fat Mark Viduka in MLS. Guy can finish.

I'm not down on Viduka (I'm a Leeds fan!)...only saying that the last time that I saw him he was really out of shape.

And I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he was signing for a team in the A-league.

Fantastic suggestion. Problem is, his salary.

As for Mark Viduka, I'm gonna say no. You can bash MLS all you want, and expect that a player with finishing ability is all that's required to score goals; but the truth is that this is a physical league and in my opinion Mark Viduka would not do well here.

Viduka has played in the SPL & EPL though mate so im pretty sure what people think is physical in the MLS is nowhere near how physical the likes of Scotland and England are so i doubt that he would even put physical and MLS together.

Wouldn't be a good move in terms of his age, money and his injuries but can finish on the floor and in the air.

Looks like Eddie Johnson is available...he'd be a good addition IMO

You're right Viduka has played well in those leagues, problem is he hasn't done that recently. I watched probably every single game he played in for Newcastle and he definitely was a different player than he was in his celtic and leeds United days. Money and injuries obviously play a huge role, but as far as I'm concerned he's burned out. 3-4 years ago this might have been an intelligent move, but the fact is he's not that good anymore.

As for how physical MLS is, you can go ahead and bash it; but the point I was trying to get across is that it's not just a pushover. There are plenty of players who have come over form the UK and said the same.

What about that dirty scumbag, Sol Campbell. As much as I hate him, he'd eat up forwards here....

I never really understood what happened to him, he used to be a great player but it seems his indicpline in all aspects of his life has caused his career to flounder, what a waste.

Man U bound apparently. Big Sol could not accept the level of Notts County so I have doubts he would accept the MLS. I am not saying that Notts County are better than MLS teams but it seems that perhaps he wants to see out his remaining days in a top league. Some players cannot accept moving down a league, their motivation goes and they just decide to call it a day, Roy Keane is a prize example. He could have played another year at Celtic, who were meant to be his boyhood team, but he called it quits after 6 months in the SPL.

Viduka is the kind of player who you would not want if his heart was not in it, he has proven that throughout his career.
