THANKS JACK!!
for everything.

You have been a fantastic leader and club president!

Your tireless efforts has taken this group to the next level and beyond by insisting on a level of respect for the game, the players, the organization and the supporters themselves.

You have helped extend the RPB family to new heights while at the same time presenting a face (and not a bad looking one either - lol) to media outlets both here and around the league.

You have delt with more than your fair share of issues and problems while at the same time balancing a career and family. Often times putting the needs of this group ahead of your own.

I for one wanted to call out this great mans efforts and sacrifices that he has made for all of us. Well done sir! and Thank you.

See you on the SHOTGUN EXPRESS. . . . . :drum::drinking:

As mentioned in the other thread I appreciate all of the work done by all of the Exec and RPB volunteers.

That being said if and when the shit hits the fan (bad pun I know ) it takes a big man to stand up there as president, representing the supporters and trying to set the record straight.

Thanks Jack and I'll say the same in person when I get a chance to see ya round BMO field.

:)

Thanks guys.

It was a great run and I thoroughly enjoyed myself (well, most of the time, anyway!).

I am very proud of this group and what we have accomplished and I know that we will continue to set the bar and only get better. The time spent as president really helped me grow as a person and I learned a lot about myself as well as made a lot of great friends (and very few enemies!).

Moving forward I am very excited to see Boris go to work (and me put my feet up and backseat drive! :D)

Boris will bring the energy, enthusiasm and fresh ideas that I think will help us continue on our path.

The best is yet to come!

Come on you Reds!

Are you going to change your board name now to blend in with the mortals?

I barely knew Jack when he was made President, and wasn't sure what made him so special. As i got to know him, and watched him at work as President, I became more and more impressed, and often thought how lucky we were to have such an outstanding individual representing this group.
I already know Boris, and have faith in him, but I must say that Jack is going to be a tough act to follow.
Best of luck to Boris, and Jack, you have my most sincere gratitude for all you've done.

Bravo!

LOL I remember this! I was also standing right with you guys, with the megaphone I had brought in (the same one Zac uses on our capo stand).

Jack kept taking it from me to yell in Spanish at the Honduran keeper and Amado Guevara. I think at one point the keeper turned around during one of Jack's tirades. :D

On behalf of another supporters group, I also thank Jack for his efforts and wish him well.

Yeah that was a fun moment in an otherwise dismal game for Canada. I think when the Honduran keeper flipped me the bird, I knew I had done my job :D

I'll never forget the day I met Jack: first season at Bathurst subway, chatting on the streetcar down to BMO.
I thought: this guy's a nobody and is going nowhere, I'll prolly never see him again.

I kid, of course!

But I certainly didn't expect him to move on to such greatness as he did and accomplish as much as he has.
I've never felt more proud to be a Red Patch Boy and I owe it to Jack's leadership.
I look forward to slumming with a more relaxed Jack at games next year.

Long Live The Prez!

Congrats Boris, the future looks bright! (You poor bastard.) :D

Jack,
Thanks for all that you have done to make me and eveyone feel like they were a part of something special.
I know that when I would see you you would always have a handshake or hug waiting.
My fondest moments were the drunken Octoberfest dance that did over and over again at Shoeless and dancing the Heather Hustle.

Thanks again for all that you have done for our group, the supporters, club, AND the city.

Every once in a while you are lucky enough to get to know a man that you'd be happy to follow, pretty much where ever he might go. Jack is just such a man.

Jack has brought a voice of reason, a voice of passion, and the heart of a true supporter to the presidency. he calmly and rationally worked through things, was open to changing his mind when the circumstances and the arguments changed, and led us into a feverish pitch with his drum.

For many, our first interaction with Jack was in the initial Terry Fox headshave, an event that we, as a group, are proud to be associated with.

Jack, I'm proud to have walked alongside you through the last couple of years, and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.

Thanks for leading us to where we are today.
