Of course all of us are anxiously waiting to find out who will be the team's new coach.

Well, it's a good off-season thread to make a Poll (at least IMO, lol...) about the time we'll know for sure this info - I mean when it will be 100% confirmed.

You'll also maybe post what you voted and/or the reasons why you voted like you did.

we already have a manager, and thats MoJo

Mo is the Director of Soccer, not the manager.

It'll be someone underhwelming, so they'll wait until after all they've gone through the waiting list and sold the seasons and partial packs, before revealing the disappointment.

Preki will be hired after Nov. 22nd (MLS Cup) and before the MLS Combine (Early January). I'm guessing he is hired between Nov.22nd and Dec.1st.

Mo and Preki will want to do some pre-scouting together and asses the current assets and how Preki will deploy them and which holes need to be filled.

It doesn't matter who gets hired because the problems are much bigger than whoever the new coach will be. Mo Johnston has to go, and keeping him is a mistake made by Tom Anselmi

Not only does Mo Johnston have to go and the decision to keep him a huge mistake, but according to some of the most fundamental players on this team

"Tom's a good business man but doesn't know anything about soccer, and it filters down from him"

Hmmm, more polls...

How about this one:

The Alcohol By Volume consumed by Maurice Johnston per day is roughly equal to volume of:

1. one imperial pint (20 fluid ounces)
2. four imperial pints
3. 27 imperial pints
4. the volume of free water flow in the Don River over the same time period
5. the volume of water retention of three-score pregant African Elephants

The results of this poll will directly influence our record and post-season chances in the 2010 season ;)

Yeah, I was wondering about this poll as well. But I do hope that we know before December 1. I would not be impressed by Perki. I understand the hire, and that he has done well in the MLS, but it does not speak of new direction to me. I hope I am wrong.

I think Preki, if able to do his job, is what this team needs.

I tend to agree. IF he's allowed to do his job without interference from others (read Mo), then I think Preki is as good for TFC as any other coach in the league. He's a disciplinarian, so he'll sort things out within the locker room (players that don't like it, will be gone) and he's a defensive specialist when it comes to his tactics, which should also improve our squad.

^ That part I agree. We need a defensive disciplinarian type. Most def. That part I like.

Couldn't agree more, Shag a ho. These are the things that need to happen under Preki:

1) Tell Mo to fuck off and stop meddling in coaching duties.
2) Unify the change room.
3) Find out why this team can't hold on to points past the 75th min.

If Preki can take care of those 3 things then we will make the playoffs.

Preki will be hired before the Drafts because Mo needs to gauge who he will use (ala no use in protecting Robbo is Preki won't use him).
