^ Partially true. Robertson Stadium is shared with high school football teams. This is the same for Pizza Hut Park.

The announcer just called them the Houston Rockets lol

I think it's the home for the University of Houston Cougars. I could be wrong:)

Houston does not have a SSS, this stadium belongs to the U Of Houston. They are pretty close to getting one. The main thing about having a SSS is not that soccer is the only sport played there, because it's not in most of these MLS SSS, the main thing about having your own stadium is the fact that all the revenue that you generate is all yours, when you don't have your own SSS you are just a tenant and you pay rent, you don't take in any of the money that the stadium makes.

I think the layout of the Stadium and not having any other lines or sports played in your stadium is key too.

Final! 1-0 Houston.

twistedchinaman
11-08-2009, 05:38 PM
Well, whatever huge turnout MLS was hoping for having the final in Seattle -- all gone!

Good game. I tuned in at about 60minutes to see Seattle dominating possession and getting all the chances and within 10 minutes the game was going completely the other way. It looked like Houston was the more balanced team and that Seattle's first year squad still needs some tuning to live up to its potential.

If there was ever a marquee match up in the final (for the league at least) it would be Chicago vs LA for perhaps the last time the two original DP's battle it out. One thing is for sure, Chivas and RSL won't be getting too much enthusiasm from the MLS office.

Have to say I am quite pleased to see Seattle out and seems most of the rest of the MLS is too judging by the comments in the stream I was in

3 minutes stoppage time and it's called at 1:30? FUCK this ref.

But haha Seattle is out. Now is our chance next year to score a playoff goal before them.

Nice that seattles king tv picked up the game as it was great coverage as opposed to watching on the net. the sounders had by far the most energetic supporters in
MLS and most teams will be hard to match that...Houston deserved to go through
and should give the Galaxy a hell of a match.
