As they were putting the team together they looked at the top team in the league at the time and hired their coach - got caught in a tampering scandal and "reached an agreement with Coumbus," for cash and allocaion money (they must have been talking to Sigi while he was prepping his team for the MLS Cup). There were some rumours about the way they acquired Monero and they went after a DP right away.

I think Omar Gonzalez gets it. I haven't watched him enough, but LA made it into the playoffs easily. Plus, he's a defender who went to a defensively weak team and they are not so weak any more. It's not all him, but it will look good on him.

Not sure who had the most, but Gonzalez has 400 more minutes than Frei too.

For last seaon, sure. It remains to be seen how effective he'll be with a new coach, a new system and a pre-season with the team. I'm going to remain optimistic for the winter, at least.

And,more importantly, I think the pressure applied by the supporters went a long way to changing the minds on the board (just like itdid for grass). We know how this organization operates and we should be able to use that. I like how they've now admitted a more experienced coach is a requirement.

The right pressure applied to the right things will help a lot. It's why I don't like the, "____ must go," because it gives ownership an easy out - fire that guy and get a new one just the same. That's not what we want. If the pressure had been to, "Fire Cummins," then that likely would have happened and he could possibly have been replaced by yet another coach with very little experience.
