....not because he doesn't have the talent, but because his injuries made him a bad bet: Jamie Smith, who ended up at Colorado, played well in a handful of games and then went out with a bad knee injury, which, if I recall, is what kept him out of squads repeatedly in Scotland.
So maybe the turf did us a favour on that one. Not great judgment by either club, though, taking a risk with MLS rosters so restrictive on a player with bad injuries prior.

We dodged a bullet with Huckerby too, he's out and may be retiring....

You have to take a risk once in a while to get ahead. Who dares wins. If you play it safe every time you'll end up where we are right now: out of the play-offs.

yep, we're out of the playoffs just like San Jose (Huckerby) and Colorado (Smith). ;)

All 3 of the "J. Smith" washed out of MLS this year.
No more players named J. Smith!
