One need look no further than the abysmal road record of this team over the past three years to sum up the type of character and leadership in the room.

A grand total of 4 away wins in 3 years!

Scouting at the professional level involves more than just watching a players talent.

In the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB the teams spend an inordinate amount of time and money to study the "character" of potential drafts.

Obviously this has not been the case with TFC as this group has repeatedly mailed in efforts or folded the tent under the slightest sign of adversity.

It's time for a major "culture change" and to weed out the players who are happy just to collect a paycheck while continuing to talk a good game.

Agree. You need someone who recognizes these character traits in others, leading the way...not to mention that it would be nice if MO exhibited the characteristics we want in others.

Yeah, and they still draft Ryan Leaf.

Although really, TFC has done well with the character players it has drafted.

Other players were pushed into positions (actual positions on the field and probably in the dressing room, too) that they weren't prepared for, didn't plan on, etc.. That's what happens with expansion teams, they pick up what they can and they improvise.

What the team has to do now is manage the transition from expansion team to established team. Guys like Cronin, Edwards and Attakora look good for that.

Wow. You know the supporters are pissed when Loyal starts a critical thread of the franchise.

Character starts from the top....

If you GM promises things and then bails on them ala Dero, CC and Carver how can we expect our team to do any better?

CC has no faith in the people above him, I can only guess that in his message to the team it is probably reflected and it is the trickle down effect

^ Have you ever seen the movie All the Presidents Men? When Deep Throat keeps telling Woodward and Bernstien to look higher up the chain of command? You're right, it starts at the top.
