Good for them. Without the income there would be no increase to the salary cap.

These Avon books that the ladies bring into work here always have leafs and red wings gear, the gear can be nice sometimes.. and I'm always left wishing it was TFC so I could order a few items.

another positive for the league.. this to me signals the continuing growing trend of companies willing to sell thier products via the mls league.. This in no way does it represent the dillution of the sport but a growing fanbase of ppl of all ages paying attention to the sport. Also Mass marketing arms seeing the potential in the league to sell its products.. hockey , american football, and many others have done these tactics .
to me signals a change in the landscape of how professional soccer is developing in North America..

Are you reading the same list as me JonO? Can't see pottery barn in there anywhere. This would be interesting though. I can already hear the reaction from my wife when I kit out my daughter's room with TFC gear.

Agree with the poster about changing landscape for MLS in North America though. These deals were only signed because both sides thought they could make money. That means there's a market out there to be swamped with soccer branded merchandise. And that means there is a significant fanbase which the merchandisers think is probably growing.
