I am very optimistic about TFC making the playoffs. So try and keep the negativity to a minimum.

If and when TFC make the playoffs. What will likely be the TFC home game date??

I work on the 7th and have a really bad feeling that will likely be the first game of the playoffs. In previous years did the playoffs always fall on Saturday nights??

unless espn thinks TFC would be sexy and we'd play on the thursday night game/ but if CBC wants to show the game we'd be on saturday afternoon to avoid HNIC conflicts

I can do Saturday afternoon. Work for me starts at 7:30PM.

Its looking good for playoff action...:canada: but if we finsh 8th we would play the 1st place club (columbus) who would get to select if they want the 1st leg in Columbus, or the 2nd Leg in Columbus..likely they would take the first leg at home to cash in on the travelling TO support, how many TFC could they expect if TFC lost the first leg 3-0 or worse?? not many, so expect the Crew to cash in on a first Leg tie with TFC>

If you read the playoff format on MLS website I'm pretty sure it said the first game is hosted by the team with the least points. If that is the case, and things go our way we might be looking at a haloween game. if anyone has more accurate information though would love to hear it.

should we make it, i would wager it's oct. 31.
can't see toronto getting an espn game ... and, as InDa_110 said, the mls site says lower seeded team gets the first game.

Hopefully its on HALOWEEN.

I didn't realize the higher seeded clubs got to chose home or away. I thought it was automatically home for the second leg.

I see us finish 8th but....with 3 east clubs and 5 west clubs. So I see us playing Chicago.

Yes.

If TFC makes it, the first round at the lower seed will be on the weekend of Oct. 31.

Yes.

If TFC makes it, the first round at the lower seed will be on the weekend of Oct. 31.

1st game on Oct.29 Thursday ,2nd game Sunday Nov 1st is what we might get.

doesnt matter gol or sportnet could pick up the match if cbc cant commit to the game...i would rather the both legs be on gol anyways!!

Then the Following week 2nd leg!

CBC has HNIC sched all day Oct 31, so it could be a sportsnet broadcasts or gol.

At this point i'm hoping for early Saturday afternoon game or late Sunday on the Holloween Weekend.

i reckon halloween would be a bad idea for logistical and traffic reasons. also, considering the number of families that attend games regularly i doubt parents and kids would want to venture to the game then head out for trick-or-treating all night afterward. I know there are alot of hardcore fan/parents, but outside the supporters section i get the impression most parents could live with missing it.

i'd love to see a thursday-sunday schedule. a sunday afternoon game would be sick!
