According to the MLS playoff standings they have TFC in the eighth spot. So if TFC win in New York They are in the playoffs!

They also have a match vs Seattle who have qualified, so will probably rest a lot of their starters.

i think you are right based on that 4 team tie break format, but remember, we need certain teams that we have had success against to be in that tie-break.

well there we have it boys, if we win 91.7% of going to the postseason. forget trying to break down the possible scenarios, there are way to many.

i am betting on seeing more tfc at bmo this year.

I know we have the tiebreaker over NE and DC, but Dallas has the tie breaker over us, NE but not over DC.

While NE has the tiebreaker over DC.

If it goes to goal differential Dallas has the advantage with +4.

No they have it over us head to head. So they are almost certainly ahead of us. But.

We can win a 4 way tie that includes only NE, Chicago and DC. There may be a couple of other obscure scenarios also.

Overall, the chance that TFC finish ahead of Chicago is about 1%, per sportsclubstats.
