View Full Version : Dich Faces (Dichio Masks) For Next Week

As most of you know, next week's match is "Dichio Day". Obviously there are lots of things planned to celebrate the most adored player in TFC's short history.
A few weeks ago, I showed up at the match with a "dich face" (a Dichio Mask). I thought, for the last game, why not try to get as many people in Dichio faces as possible.
It's very simple to do.
1) Click the link
2) Click the image
3) view it in full size by clicking on it again
4) Print it on 11X17 paper
5) cut out the face
6) Trace the face on a piece of cardboard
7) cut out the cardboard
8) glue the pic to the cardboard
9) cut eye holes
10) Attach a string or rubber band with staples to the back so that you can put it on.
DONE!

Imagine if we had 100 of these in 112? The section would be a hell of a lot prettier that's for sure!

He looks a bit dull in that image Mike. Can't you post one of him with the kind of face he had on as he hoisted the corner flag or something? 100 snarling Danny's would be better than 100 clam, slightly smirking Dannys... :D

The pic is the only high quality one I could get.
If others have ones that could be blown up to a 11X17 size hopefully they will post it. We could have a few different faces going!

I printed it at Kinkos. They used a regular colour printer on their regular (but pretty high quality) print paper.
I think it was 50 cents.

I just picked up 16 bald "wigs". But i like Mike's idea better. It seems much more impressive.

Haha, I thought it might be him (it's the hobbit arms). I was slightly worried someone would get seriously pissed off if it was a picture of them and not Mike, but I figured it was worth the risk!

i don't have access to a printer.... how do you go into a place like kinko's (never heard of it) and give them the imagine to print?

Kinko's is just a print store (Kinko's Fed Ex, THP, etc.).
When you go into these places, you can get access to a computer and can print files. So you need to access the file in one way or another.
- Save the file on a memory stick and bring it to Kinko's
OR
- When you are in the print store, get on a computer, go into this thread, click the link to the image and then print it.
OR
- Save the image and email it to yourself. At the print store, open the email and print it.
The people in the store will help you.

They only take about 10 mins to make.
I'm printing out plenty of production drawings on 11x17, so a few of these slipped in won't be noticed.....:D

You might want to edit it a wee bit before printing.

this is a great ass idea.. low tech and brilliant .... I hope someone can pass this along to all the supporters groups to see if its possible to have as many dichios at the stadium for his last goodbye... :drum::scarf::drum:

Got ours done for the game. Thanks for the pic though the woman at Staples wondered why I was copying a "mug shot" :)
My advice would be to cut the eye holes in the picture first, glue the face on, then cut them on the cardboard.

How thick was the cardboard that you used ?. Is it best for it to be flexible so that it bends around your face or more rigid so that it remains straight?. The picture that canadian bhoy posted it looks like it is straight. Does it need to have th mouth cut out?.

I used cardboard from a box so it was rigid and quite strait. It looks better than flexible cardboard, but can also start to pinch your nose after a while.
Cereal cardboard would work well too - but we be more flexible.

Kinko's does, so I would think that staples would as well. In fact, I'm pretty sure they do.
