Like this kit a lot, actually, and it's for a great cause too.

seriously, if we win in the pinks on saturday I say we officially ditch those garbage gray kits, 'cause we'll be 2-0 in the pink shirts, and 1 win and countless losses in the gray kits over 3 years! Also, great cause, win-win!

I don't think they are wearing 'jerseys' those days, just using a pink stick, ball, pink ice etc.

It is a great cause, but the profits from the sale of the jerseys should have been a 100% donation to the cause. Saying these jerseys are for cancer and then giving a paltry 5% (correct number?) to the cause is simply using cancer to sell a product. That is not good.

I'm all for supporting Breast Cancer Causes.
i'm all against people profitting from breast cancer.

have you noticed the number of products with Pink Ribbons??

People are profitting from breast cancer...and it is not right.

Again I'll mention that they donate to stop breast cancer the same amount from ALL the jerseys not just the pink. So I'll remind everyone that unless you like the colour you can feel good buying any jersey.

I'd love to see the Leafs wear pink jerseys for a game. The stick/laces thing is pretty lame.

Is there a specific reason why this cause is chosen to be promote, as opposed to other causes? Surely this cause gets enough coverage and something else can be highlighted.

I've always wondered that as well. Not to take anything away from breast cancer but I do not understand why ALL the sports support this cause while ignoring a lot of other causes.

taking up a cause is 100% for self-promotion. by donating to breast cancer, the brand is seen in a softer and more approachable light. This leads to higher revenues from a broader scope of people who would ordinarily ignore the team (greater supply of consumer = higher demand for the product, therefore higher price points are possible... AKA the toronto maple leafs effect)
