I started watching a half hour into the game, a couple chances for San Jose but not much else.

Yeah,I think draw would work the best for us.

Always best to have to teams only claim a total of 2 points rather than 3. :)

If it stay like this Dallas will be ahead of us with 36 points and 2 games left to play.

I think it'll all come down to us having to win our last 3 games.

That's it. Dallas gets 3 points.

Life's a little harder for TFC

Over now, Dallas wins

Them: Colorado @ Home, Seattle Away = max 6 pts. = 36 + 6 = 42
Us: SJ @ Home, RSL @ Home, Red Craps Away = max. 9 pts = 35 +9 = 44

They are skating on ice just as thin as we are.

And this just in...

San Jose officially eliminated from playoff contention with that loss. We get a softer game on Saturday with this result. As long as we keep winning, won't matter what Dallas does.

Exactly. But again, it could have the opposite effect -- guys playing out of the heads playing for places in 2010. This could be a negative for us, so we must come out fast and hard like a bull in a china shop. :scarf:

No way. Life's now harder for Colorado and then maybe Seattle. We control our own destiny over Dallas. What's great now is that they will be out to beat Colorado. A team out of the playoffs has no incentive in MLS. Dallas has a reason to play but can't get ahead of Toronto if we win all of our games. Only De Ro can help us now with a locker room takeover cuz Cummins has already packed it in.

If we don't blow San Jose out of the water on Saturday (having nothing to play for - and sore from tonight's game) we REALLY have no business making the play-offs.

Yet Dallas will probably fall at Seattle, so we won't have to worry about them taking our potential playoff spot.

The only team we have to worry about is New England. If we get all nine points, we still need to make up 3 points on the Revs to tie them for 8th, and get in on the tie-breaker. It doesn't matter what DC or Dallas do if we run the table.

One game at a time.

Beat San Jose.

That's all that matters right now.

Just beat San Jose.

If we win 2 and tie 1 we will be at 42 points and if dallas wins out they will be at 42....which i think they have the tie-breaker :\

ballerz
10-08-2009, 04:30 PM
^^

It won't matter because 42 pts might not be enough for 8th...

twistedchinaman
10-08-2009, 04:31 PM
^ Exactly. Therefore why leave it to chance? Blow all three teams out of the water, we're in. If not, kiss the playoffs goodbye.
