They may still have the second-worst record in the MLS, but the San Jose Earthquakes are one of the hottest teams in the league.
And, if the Quakes beat FC Dallas at home tonight, they could prove to be a handful for Toronto FC at BMO Field on Saturday.

We want them to have nothing to play for.

But wouldn't that put Dallas in the playoff hunt pack, now sitting at 3 by my estimates, along with us?

I think dallas would go ahead of us in points if they win though?

wow, i thought that we were capable of just being san jose, but seems like we need them to loose to feel hopeless, they have so many players out.

at the end of the day TFC should win, but are you guys just talking in a reality?

Do you have any connections that have access to the match officials, Ensco?:ihih:

I think TFC should win, but it can't hurt to hope for the best (a draw) from other games, too, can it?

And no matter what, having them play a mid-week game with a short bench just before playing us can't hurt either!

shit teams usually play better when there's nothing to play for....I'd be a bit scared playing a team with nothing to lose, especially at home

^ This article says:

- San Jose wishes it only had to deal with a pair of absences. Arturo Alvarez and Ramon Sanchez are off with El Salvador, Simon Elliott is with New Zealand for its playoff against Bahrain and Andre Luiz is out with a left knee sprain. Cornell Glen (right knee sprain) and Jason Hernandez (left hamstring strain) are listed as questionable, though Hernandez is expected to play.

- To underline the shortage of players available to Frank Yallop for Wednesday night's game, the former Canadian national team coach had 13 players (plus two spectators) on the field for training on Monday, according to Center Line Soccer

Apparently these two teams have tied the last three times they've played. Here's hoping the trend continues.

I'm not concerned about their form. Win or lose we still have to play them. That shouldn't change our mentality at all.

Let them knock out FCD and we'll take care of them at home.

Thank Don. CSA wouldn't want to go up against an MLS game super weekend.
