Given that they're playing in seperate games, then yes it's quite possible.:D

Good article on how Lamar Hunt personally sprang for the first SSS:

Soccer-specific Crew Stadium in Columbus is an MLS icon

Too bad he picked Columbus...

I think we want Columbus to win, Colorado to win, and a draw in the DC United game.

maybe Canada will find a way to qualify by the time the USA gets the event.

i'd take a DC loss instead. Chivas still has games in hand.. and will probably be able to nick enough points that we can't catch em.

At this point we need DC, NE, and RSL to lose games and if TFC wins its games, TFC is in the playoffs.

NE and Seattle need to drop thier games, as those are the teams that are 2 and 3 pts ahead of us and in playoff spots.

RSL is behind us in the standings. and we will have to win all 3 games to get into the playoffs, so RSL wont catch us

DC is only up on us by 1 pt, so they only have to draw 1 of the last 3 for us to pass them

I cannot see TFC gettting into the playoffs with anything less then 9 pts from 3 games

RSL is a point behind us right now with the same amount of games left. So as long as TFC win they don't matter at all as far as I can tell.

Sorry to say it but Columbus winning out the rest of the season would be the best thing for us. They play Seattle and DCU once and New England twice.

We definitely want Chivas over DCU and Columbus over Seattle. But seriously, none of the results this weekend are going to have a major impact on us. They become more of a factor if we win two and tie one of our remaining matches.

Contrary to popular belief, we still have a very good chance of getting in with two wins and a tie, but we need some help.

I was reading that the other day as well. Not that article, but same story from another paper.

Fuck, if the US gets the WC in 2018 and Canada qualifies, that would be off the hook for us. Firstly, just think of how potentially strong the MLS could be by that time. Vancouver and probably Montreal would be long in by then. Same with Philly and maybe St. Louis. Either way, we'd definitely be looking at 20 teams. Just factor in all those Canadian players working here in North America instead of overseas - Yanks for that matter as well. By 2018 or 2022 I think we'd be looking miles better than we are now.

WC USA in 2018? Sounds good to me.

I do not agree with this bid! It's Canada 2018, Not USA! They already had a go at it!

GET IT DONE CSA!
