There's no way in hell I'd ever pay to see practice........however...

I'd for sure pay to go to turf the turf...rip it up, watch it get trucked out....etc. etc.

TRUCKED OUT ? They'll cut it up into commemorative keychain-sized pieces and send them out with next year's STH package before they do that.

You'll probably get the bit that Jeff Cunningham slipped on / tripped over just before he sent the ball miles high / wide that time, but you'll secretly pretend it's the bit that Danny was standing on when he launched 20,000 (+/-) seat cushions.

I would suggest a bonfire, but that would be toxic...they should donate the turf to a community facility for recreational leagues...

I know I'll be full of beer at the last game so I think I know what I can do to the turf.

Maybe a year end pitch invasion where everybody runs out and starts ripping apart the turf?
Could be fun, and save MLSE a bit of money.

Aren't they donating the turf to three schools or something...?

One full size field makes three smaller pitches... Unless the turf is so done that they can no longer do that - but I think I remember seeing that posted in an article a ways back...

^ It was the real Madrid grass that they did that for. My son's school was one of the 3.

Eww, am I the only one who thinks this option sounds gross? Field turf isn't self-cleaning in the way that grass is. I can imagine a bunch of kids picking up some strange virus from our faux yard trimmings.:ack2:

I would agree. It's full of spit, blood and god knows what else.

Also, it's old and worn out. It should be consigned to the dustbin of history!

I thought they were moving it to a new facility which is why we were allowed to have grass.

I don't know if the turf is even salvageable after 3 seasons of wear and tear. There's gotta be holes and rips all over the fucking thing. I say the best course of action would be to burn it and turn our backs. May not be the most environmentally friendly way of doing it, but it would be fitting.

Hmmm. Bet there's some flare-chucking consultants who frequent this board who'd have something creative to offer. Yes?!

Recycling, gents. As much as we hate the stuff, let's not piss off Mother Nature any more than we have to. :D

I like that idea.

On second thought, maybe I don't like that idea.

Used turf gets used for dog runs. Having a dog pee on BMO Fieldturf seems to me to be a fitting end.

Ship it to Africa for the kids. It would be put to far better use than having dogs pee on it.

I dunno, the carbon footprint of that would be huge. It's heavy stuff!
