Guess what. I am not happy he missed an open net in Seattle. DeRo signed a contract to be the highest paid player on the club at the time and we are getting grass next year. If he is still not happy then he should retire and free up that $500k under the cap.

i can understand why dero would be pissed at guzmans paycheck because he is top scorer and mostly plays and gives 110% but lets win the league before asking for more dough ray me

assuming City Council passes the resolution prtoposed by MLSE for grass at BMO and a bubble at Lamport/ new facility on Lakeshore, am I right in thinking that there is one more level it needs to go to? Provincial/Federal? Please let me be wrong.

^Nope. Needs Fed and Provincial approval but with the Board of the Ex and City saying ok, that shouldn't be too, too hard.

^^ so how would a potential federal election call affect us? Do we know? Not like it's a bill, but all work would likely grind to another halt on Ottawa.

It wouldn't. Their decisions are expected to come tomorrow, assuming council says yes.

Sure because we are easily going to find another 11 to 12 goals per year scorer (plus 7 to 8 assists) right? It's as easy as walking to the local Lobalws to pick up a bag of chips.

Thanks DeRo, we don't need ya. We have plenty of goal scorers on this team.

DeRo signed knowing that a DP was eventually going to be signed for a lot more money than he's making...If he's now gonna turn around and whine about it, then he's just being a hypocrite...If he doesn't like the money he's making then he should never have signed..

DeRo hasn't whined about anything. Where have you heard him complain?

where did this extra money come from

I know in a recent interview on some show I was watching here in Hamilton (I dunno if it was on suntv, the score or what) where he said he thought he was coming to Toronto to be the DP but that didn't happen and he knew that before hand.

DeRo is really good and I can see him staying at the max pay, but his contract is dependent on TFC changing his contract to make him a DP or the cap being raised. I can't see the team paying him more at the cost of other quality players. And if he were more of a team player he'd understand that.

I'm actually a little disappointed with DeRo's on field performance in that he has kept the ball rather then passing it to someone in better position more then once, and I can't think of any situations where it paid off.

He is a quality player, and if he can learn to trust his team mates, and we can get staff that can get these guy practicing passing ... lots.. then we will be ok...

This team needs to spend much of the off season working on the basic technical stuff. Ground passes, Pressing, checking, crosses, and Defending crosses...

The club has the talent and offensive power (even those so many don't seem to believe it) to be in the number 3 spot in the league if we just had a defense that was on par with our offense.

If we had a 0 GD instead of a -5 GD I'm beating we would have between 42-44 points on the table today... That isn't the offense and goal scoring that is the issue. Houston has score the same number (35) and we are in the middle of the pack and at least 3 playoff contenders have fewer goals... it's the 40 goals that have been scored against us that is the issue. And I don't see MLSE giving up cash that could buy a strong CB on DeRo.
