The press release from the TFC site is laughable (shaking head grinning). They write those things as though the team never puts foot wrong. I know that's the point of PR but honestly...

Good to see the academy doing well.

It's like the old Soviet Union. They would never say that somebody finished second, only that they finished "right behind the winner".

So, instead of us finishing "out of the playoffs", we will "finish the season right behind the final qualifying team".

I liked the one from last week after we lost to LA.

"Reds keep in touch of playoffs"

As if we acheived something rather than everyone else losing as well.

It is for this reason that I barely pay attention to the MLS site unless I am looking to track trades or see the rosters. Honestly, the journaism is so homerish you are better off reading one of the newspapers to get a more balanced article.

And that's why they censored the goal against TFC during the "Miracle in Montreal"
Big Brother knows best! Seeing TFC get scored on is bad for morale and ones character.:facepalm:

I clicked and read the first article Denime posted. I don't see any PR.

all I see is:

1) Reds remain two points out of the playoffs
2) A bunch of facts about the other teams in MLS.

These are straightforward facts... TFC is indeed 2 points out the playoffs.

are you guys talking about some other article?

i think it's a north america thing. we can't seem to call spades spades here.
the nfl goes about its business trying to pretend the gambling part of it doesn't exist. in europe, it is what it is. so much so that gambling sites are even featured as on-shirt sponsors of many soccer teams.

keep it real, i say.
