There's a really tacky add for the 'BMO 300' on their building on King in the financial district. It plays the commercials over and over.

I've mentioned it to a few people already. Take a look at the "Drummer Boy" picture, and notice that he is beating the drum with a weapon that would likely get me ejected and banned for life for just attempting to bring it into the stadium.

I personally hate it and those fucking commercials. If you're going to rip off the unique individual supporter personalities that we bring, then get specifically them in the damn commercials and not actors. It's not rocket science, we bring it EVERY FUCKING GAME to tape and choose from.

I'm indifferent to the commercial. I could really care less.
But as i watched it yesterday i wondered, wtf did they do with the hundreds of red flags they used after they were done filming? Did they just chuck'em? Why not hand those fuckers out at the gate?

Maybe they only used 10 and then used duplicates of the footage to make it look like hundreds? I doubt they hired that many actors...

Would you REALLY want to be in a BMO Commercial?
I wouldn't want to participate in a staged commercial filming, but pics taken while we're supporting our team in full voice would be better than anything they could ever stage.
That said, I'd still rather not.

Come on, were dealing with TV here, and its a commercial, not a reality show.
Why didnt they get Erin Brokovich to play Erin Brokovich? Why dont they use real doctors and patients on ER?
I love that so much effort and art direction has gone into portraying something that I'm a part of, and making it larger than life.
We created the reality behind that commercial, and it sends shivers down my spine when I see it. Not because it's a great commercial, but because I realise that what we created last year made such an impression, and was so succesful, that they wanted to capture that and give it the Hollywood treatment.

Exactly, pictures of real fans would not have had the feel they wanted to give it. It was supposed to be about us as "warriors", not us as real life. Commercials are meant to be over the top, because frankly, a 30 second shot of real life (in most cases) is not going to sell anything.

The best thing about the site is that it spawned this thread which in turn brought up "Mambo Seafood" from the Houston game and gave me a laugh ;)
I'm gonna start calling things mambonifico for no apparent reason now.
