Never, because de duzman can actually, you know, play the game of soccer. When he touches the ball he has confidence and knows what he actually wants to do with it before it gets to his feet. Barret is an embarrassment to the GAME of soccer in my opinion. Vitti doesn't know how to finish and is not strong with the ball, and gerba i guess is alright. He is strong and i like his first touch usually. He's just a little slow.

JDG provided decent passing service today. Landycakes and Becks were usually always open!
Nick Garcia = facepalm. DeRo didn't seem to have much energy today.

Im not sure what game you were watching but barrett barely moved. He was just in a lucky position. You put me on the field, i can do the same things he does (serious). This man has extremely poor first touch, he cant finish, he is most of the time lost on the field, he doesn't make plays or let alone even read them. I feel sorry for everyone who has to play with him on that field.

Anyways, im not saying we lost just because of him, but i can't bare to watch him play anymore. My teeth clench.

If you watched the game with the forgone conclusion that we weren't making the playoffs this year, it was actually pretty good.
Having JDG allowed us to do something we've never been able to do before... advance the ball up the middle.
I have high hopes for next year. We just need one good striker and time for a consistant starting 11 to get to know each other.

I don't believe he's worth 200k per year. But I believe he's got a lot more value than a lot of you give him credit for.

Then so is well over half of this squad. No one seems to mention the millions of times Guevara passed to the opposing team without a TFC player in the vicinity. How's about Brennan, Cronin, Gerba, Garcia.....IMO Barret did his job as a winger tonight, cleared one off the line......made several nice interceptions in the mid.......tracked back to cover for the non existing defense........put in several passes/crosses that were dangerous or that Gerba missed.

I'm more puzzled with why Cummins switched up Barrett with Dero when last week having Gerba and Barrett up front gave Dero a lot of freedom to come forward and do his thing. Oh well.........another road loss.

Does the defense actually know what it means to mark your man? It seemed so "I don't want him....you take him"......."no way man he's yours" BRUTAL

When the same guys pass the ball to Barrett it invariably bounces off his foot and becomes a 50/50 ball with a defender or he totally shits the bed and gives it away right off the bat.

Add to that, that every time he shits the bed he pouts like a 6 year old and it makes me want to puke. Guevara plays a spot on the field where he has the ball at his feet about 50 times as many as a guy like Barrett. Sure Guevara is gonna have mistakes...but his mistakes are 1 in 10 where Barretts are 1 in 3.

end result of today's game is this. barrett did something to make something happen on offensive end. Cronin and DeRo did not

Thanks for bringing that up. He stinks at that too. Guevara has been a sack of potatoes for the last 12 games now and hasn't added any real threat to the games we've played. Sure we look okay in mid but he isn't providing balls to our strikers (like he should be in that role) and he isn't overly good on the defensive end of things.

Compare this to Barrett who set up Gerba many times in the last two games only to watch Gerba Pull what you guys would call a "Chad Barrett" (missed opportunity). Barrett gets back to make defensive plays and is still adjusting to the role of a winger. I am certain that Cummins lack of confidence in his striking ability only adds to his problem of scoring...or lack thereof.

Anyways....I'm not defending Chad all night. We lost for many reasons and his play was not one of them. Had Gerba finished on that sweet feed from Barrett the story would be different here. But it's not. It is the same old story.....No goals, no defense, no win!

Be fair to Barrett...90% of the passes his way are shite..either behind him or too far in front..we need midfielders who can actually pass a football!!
Yes his pouting must be brought under control..we cant sit him cause from a offensive point of view hes the hardest worker of the bunch, and that says a lot for the others.
