I hope he is honest with us....I will take the over at 5 on "let me honest with you" or some permutation.

Instead of honest (aka DD travel excuse), maybe he should focus on building a game plan and putting a decent starting line up for men above 16 years of age.

Caller one: "Why didn't you play Dichio more?"

Caller two: "How can you win without Danny in the lineup?"

Caller three: "Do you wish you had Dichio back?"

Caller four: "Were you told not to play Dichio?"

Caller five: "How can we win with Danny not available?"

Unfortunately I dont think his interview skills are a reflection of his well thought evasive skills...more of a reflection that there really isnt any depth or thinking there...just words

CC doesn't deserve to have his name spelt correctly. Should have been out before the majority of us figured out the proper way.

I may have a conflict tonight:
I've emailed them, but anyone can feel free to submit them...

Here are my questions:
Why is he still tinkering with a first XI, particularly in must win games?
Why is the team so pedestrian when in possession?
Why are TFC set pieces deep in the attacking third so consistently unproductive?
Does the term "width" mean anything to him?
Why has it been such a challenge to provide playable service to TFC strikers?
If JDG does sign for the balance of this season, briefly, how will he deploy him and who and where will he position these supporting players?

People still don't know how to spell his name right?

Even the website "Inside Soccer" which has video clips of drills from all over the world from major clubs has a few from his time at Watford and have labelled them "Chris Cummings"...

As an aside, I met a guy visiting from England at a bar In Burlington while we were watching the Seattle game who grew up with Cummins (his son was coached by him) and he said that he heard from his buddies that Cummins is looking at going home after this season (something about going after a girl who didn't like it over here ?)...not sure if it's valid info but who knows ?..

One thing became clear from listening. Cummins trains the team towards possession-oriented attacking football. However, when they actually play, they tend towards long-ball. It must be a source of frustration for him that the team doesn't carry out what they have practiced. How much of that is his fault, is not clear.

He did say that the turf doesn't lend itself towards that type of game, due to the difficulty in controlling the ball. By implication, he is saying that when grass comes to BMO Field, the team will play better. Hmmmmm, something for thought.

Turf didn't seem to bother Seattle, Chicago or LA when they came in here and schooled us with possession tactics.

I certainly get that impression, I think that's why he didn't play Dichio too much, because he thought it encouraged the team to play long ball. And the last game as a whole was a shitshow, but the first 5 minutes after half time, we were passing it around patiently and quite nicely, presumably after he yelled at them at half time. problem is they scored, and then it went out of the window.

But if the coaches plan goes out of the window that quickly, is that a problem with the players, or the coach?

I just love the way he sets up his comments by asking himself a question first :

Would I like to play Danny every day ? Of course I would, I think everybody would, but it's not realistic. In an ideal world he'd be in the side every game, but this isn't possible with things being as they are. Do I wish things were different ? Of course I do, but we must play the hand we are dealt and do the best we can with them. Do I know how to play cards ? Not very well, to be honest, but I'm doing the best I can.
