Ives Galarcep from Soccer by Ives and ESPNsoccernet joins us to talk about coming coaching changes in MLS (Paul Mariner...), the Julian De Guzman rumours (Ives: 'Why wouldn't you sign him?') and discuss what the playoff picture is looking like.

We also get into Chelsea's international transfer ban, discuss the U.S. Open Cup and make predictions on the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying.

A side note on the coaches conversation. here are the coaches who have won the MLS cup.

These are the managers that have won MLS Cups

Bruce Arena won twice with D.C (Runner up once)
Bob Gansler won once with K.C (Runner up once)
Steven Sampson won once with L.A
Thomas Rongen won once with D.C
Bob Bradley won once with Chicago (Runner up once)
Peter Nowak won once with D.C
Frank Yallop won twice with San Jose
Sigi Smith won twice with L.A. & Columbus (Runner up once)
Dominic Kinnear won twice with Houston

He hasn't won a cup, but since 2002 Steve Nicol has coached New England and has been an MLS cup runner up 4 time (2002, 2005, 2006, 2007).

Most of these guys have been successful wherever they have coached.

Beach Red seems to know what happened here with Gansler but didn't really spill it. Seemed to imply that it was wrong to blame it all on Mo.

I do see that Mo has zero loyalists in life, guys who follow him and stay with him.
